Thanks! Unfortunately, its about as small as I could make it while still being able to fit all the electronics, and keeping a reasonable wingloading. I've seen 10mm EDF units being built, so that would definitely make smaller models more possible.

I’m surprised you don’t use a charging prong system for dealing with your batteries. Two metal prongs sticking out of the fuselage to charge from. No more doors. Alligator clips to connect and your good.

Mostly its because I dont usually fly my planes many times...a few times and I'm ready to build or fly something else. I'm also not 100% sure if adding power to the receiver while the battery is charging would hurt anything.

Nice build. You mentioned fires, are you in BC? Also, what esc and servos do you use? I keep trying to get smaller in my builds. Thanks for the video.

Thank you! I'm in Minnesota, but the last few days have been pretty hazy around here. ESC is a Sunrise Siskin BLHeli-32, servos are just the normal 1.5 gram linear servos like what Horizon makes. How did you build the fan?

The fan was made by NitroCharged, he was kind enough to send me one, its a real screamer. If you do a search on youtube for his name, you'll find his channel, he does some really cool micro EDF stuff.

So between neglecting to record the beginning of the build and the computer not wanting to deal with the rest of the video, this isnt much of a build video...better than nothing I guess lol

What is the smallest plane you have ever got to fly properly? Would you ever do a barn swallow as a micro plane?

4.5" wingspan I think, lightest was less than 3 grams. I have thought about doing a bird-shaped plane, havent tried it though.
