Yeah, these things are really fast. They dont do grass or bumpy surfaces well but they are crazy drifters on a hardwood floor. Ive had mine for about 4 years. Theyre too light to break so theyre $200 worth of fun for $12

The screw driver does more than just open the battery cover, you can pretty much fully dismantle the car with it. Add a 1:32 model car kit, some styrene to make mounts and it becomes a cheap little tinkering project.

Agreed! I did a mini plymouth roadrunner monster truck with mine (1/43 scale), it can also take 2s but Idk for how long it smells toasty quite fast.

Yeah, i have one of those, i got it for $12.99 and it's worth it because my cat likes to chase it. But: no proportional steering, 4 minute battery life, battery compartment is so cramped you eith bend the hell out of the wires or Dremel out the compartment like i did. The green one is actually better than that orange one, because the shape of the body lets you un-turtle it by hitting the accelerator. It's an okay novelty for my cat to chase, but you or your child will get really sick of it when you gotta recharge every 4 minutes of racing. It basically has a micro drone battery. It's a tiny battery and really the biggest downfall of the car. And the steering radius is trash.
