hi.. I want to ask maybe it's off topic in this video. 1. I would like to ask how to retrieve the communication status between PLC and HMI (example: if communication is lost between PLC and HMI, then HMI will display communication broken alarm). 2. how to take the RUN, STOP, Fault status on the PLC which will be displayed on the HMI (example: on the PLC, if a PLC FAULT status occurs, then the FAULT status will appear on the HMI). This question is very important to me because from these 2 cases I can find out what happened to the PLC and HMI. so I hope you are willing to answer this question.

@sukri wan: Thank you for subscribing to my channel. Your 1st question: I am not sure what you meant by "retrieve the communication status between PLC and HMI". Once the connection is lost, it should pop-up bunch or communication alarms because the HMI just cannot find data from the PLC. However, once communication is restored, you will just need to close all those alarms. Your 2nd question: You brought up some very good points that I thought about and verified long ago with Rockwell. Unfortunately, Micro800's (800, 820. 830, 850) do not have the system data file that not only you but everyone else is looking for to map to the HMI for easily monitoring PLC statuses or PLC fault codes. I know it is hard to believe it but that has been verified and confirmed with Rockwell. I completely how important it is because with CompactLogix, ControlLogix I always show the PLC status along with all IO module connection statuses on HMI instead of only faulting the PLC and not showing any causes on the HMI to the operators. It is a good practice make it much easier for troubleshooting; however, again Rockwell just does not have it on Micro 800's PLC's. Their answer is simple. We have to use a laptop and CCW software to go online with the controller to see the fault code. That is why its prices are much lower than those of compactlogix and controllogix controllers.
