I stopped buying microbands when I found out (the hard way) that these companies are not set up to sell parts.. if you need a bezel, break a link, need a crown or a dial or maybe hands. You're outta luck. I already know the movement parts are easy to find.
@CasualWatchReviews5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I can see your point there. I suppose for them it hard also to keep stock of parts they don't know how successful they are. But I think some microbrands are so eager to get the next watch out they end up having the successful ones out of stock for months. Working in sales for as long as I have that does not sit comfortably with me.

I'm a little late to this party I know, but I'm a big fan of that Vaer Dirty Dozen. Really true to the original aesthetic, but modernized in ways I like, in terms of dimensions and display caseback. Wish they would do another run of them (maybe this time with patinaed hands?)
Hey, yes I should have grouped Percista in with smiths. I own a CWC and love it but now its own by silvermans I think its absolutely outrageous what they are charging for these watches now. The NH35 is one of the most commonly used movements due to it's workhorse reputation. very reliable! Other commonly used three-hand/date movements include the Miyota 9015, the ETA 2824-2 (becoming a little less common these days due to the phase out of supply from Swatch), the Sellita SW200-1 and the STP1-11. The Sellita and STP are pretty much like-for-like drop-in replacements for the ETA (same size, and use same hands) but they're not exact copies in terms of construction. The Sellita and STP have an extra jewel and both have a higher power reserve over the ETA too.
