"You don't have to steer it, you think it through corners...it's very direct". LOL. I love that. Yes, it's an arm connected directly to the tie rods, it hardly gets more direct than that!

Back in the 1970s, I owned two Messerschmitts. I never was able to get either of them roadworthy. You used to be able to pick them up for next to nothing, but now they are worth a small fortune. I also used to own a Nobel 200 which had the same Sachs engine as the Messerschmitt.

I had 3 of them in my youth.....70+ /gallon was common.
@noneovyerbusiness49097 жыл бұрын
That's really remarkable for a two stroke engine! I imagine the light weight and excellent aerodynamics played a large part in achieving that efficiency.
@superancientmariner13947 жыл бұрын
Dunno about the aerodynamics but they were very light. .If you took a sharp corner too fast, you could tip and become a 2 wheeler . Mind you, that mileage came down as any weight was added....like a passenger. or guitar amplifier What the chap was saying about the price of them now., the 3 I had the cheapest I paid a tenner for and. the other 2 were less than £20/ This was the late 60s and you couldn't give them away.......wish I'd kept at least one of them..
