I need to get the micro heli swash for my 230,,I'm actually running a Mico heli one from the old sr ..the sr one is smaller but still fits the main shaft and I really liked how it performed made it turn tighter ,,but it was never met to be a long term thing for it ,I was always going to order one..I had it laying around so I used it

It’s a incredible swash plate! Worth every penny, the SR is pretty much the same helicopter lol that is what the 230 came from! A lot of the SR parts would fit 230 exception of head of course but it was the same main frame same tailboom same skids main motor

@@westhobbiesrc8051 right,,the swash on the sr is slightly more narrow ,so I don't know if it made it less or more turning radius for the heli but it seem to feel good so I left it in there,,had it from way back when I never installed it on my sr

FYI for next time on the servo wire cleanup, each servo can take a couple inches of wire back inside its own case. 😉

I personally shorten all my wires as I don’t like bunching them up like that but that works as well!

I have an old 230 first release and it never acted right anytime I powered it up. I need to get it out again and see what the problem is. I didn’t know enough when I bought it to be able to assess why it behaved so erratic.

Not a dumb question, yes of course you can. It is the same canopy mounting location.

Thank you for doing this video - I’ve really enjoyed your videos; in particular, your ability to explain complex topics. I have a Blade 230S V2 and have been try to learn without using SAFE/self leveling. My 230 seems just too difficult to learn on - even with tame pitch and throttle curves. So before giving up, I wanted to try something new and a bit larger. Your videos with your Grandpa Flying the Blade Fusion 360 Smart, Goosky S2 Legend, and the newer RS4 have given me motivation to consider something new. I want to get a heli that will allow me to learn and grow!. I would appreciate your expert advice on my next step: Should I repair my 230S and keep it until I can do basic flying - without SAFE or try something new? Of the Blade Fusion 360 and Goosky legend S2 - which one would you recommend? I like the Blade 360 because it runs on 3S, is belt driven tail, and your review shows its very tame - plus I have a DX8 radio. I like the RS4, in particular, because of your World Class build instructional videos! However, it's a bit out of my price range and absolutely beyond my flying skills. Thanks

I also started with a 230s. It was very difficult for me, I was able to get an OMP M1 cheap, it is absolutely not comparable, a dream compared to the 230s. OMP M1/M2 or Goosky S1/S2 fly better and much more comfortable than a normal 230s in FM2/FM3. In my opinion and from my experience. This was the first time I could really learn to fly without SAFE mode, which I learned in the simulator, it also felt much more similar. Much more precise and stable in the air. With 50% throttle curve for normal flying I get about 7 minutes flight time. A late answer is better than no answer :) And sorry if it reads a bit strange, I am writing with a translator

Are you using a nine tooth pinion on that 300x motor? I have a ten on mine. My tail doesn’t hold under hard collective, any tips on setup ? Thanks for all the videos

What FBL? The stock 636? I’ve run 9-10-11 and 12t pinions on this setup with the 300X motor but I’m running a Brain 2 FBL.

Help Please . Collective pitch is not working . Throttle works and so does Rudder on left stick . Right gimbal is fine. Elevator and ailerons move fine . Please help . I installed a new Main Motor Blade Grip . I'm using the DXs Transmitter .

This might sound like a dumb question: I am using my old 230s SMART ESC (SPMXAE1020) and with the larger motor and IKON2 micro. Is that ESC going to work or is it only set up to be used for a stock 230S SMART configuration?

Yeah should work no problem, I’m using the stock V2 ESC and no issues but I think you have to plug in the yellow wire to servo 4 (tail servo) port. But I’ve not messed with the smart ESC and iKon.

@@westhobbiesrc8051 That is my concern. That yellow wire has bugged me for a couple of years LOL Since this is a total rebuild...what would be a good ESC to get to install? I am running the 300XL motor. If I get a new ESC...I basically have a totally new Heli and have my old one as a spare to mess with it. Blade is a great company but I am leary of all of the "specialize" receivers and ESC' the do

@@ultraporthos6884 so you could always do a V2 ESC, the problem with a different ESC is the two motors but we know the V2 ESC works with the iKon/Brain FBL. I hav snot tired to make a “twin” ESC in a long time but you could always do two separate ESC‘s and Y power. So you would have one for main motor and one for tail motor. Use to that back in the day before brushless tail helis lol thank you! I try, I have been growing pretty fast in the last few months so I’m happy about that!

@Jeff I sent you an email with some images of a 3d printed bracket/shelf I made for the ESC. It gives ya lots of room to put the ESC in without the wires rubbing against the larger motor. Just thought ya would be interested.

Yeh my local store is doing 3 for 88gbp plus you get the 3x JR - i think there jst connectors, so about 27gbp each! What do you think to the x12 kts, 33gbp, have you heard any reviews about those, its a choice between microheli, KTS 215 V3 OR KTS X12'S THEY ALL HAVE AMAZING TORQE AND 333HZ WHICH COMPARED TO MY CHOICE OF SAVOX SH -0265mg at 65hz, stated 333 hz on savox website but thats B/S, When i got them any setting on beastX + above 65hz and all 3 just wagged out like a servo that cant find its centre position, the upgrade to the bigger DS535MG WAS DRAMATIC, 333HZ, I RUN AT 6V , So i have upgraded all electronics, esc, HWing 60 v3 i love, so so configurable with the bluetooth app. I also looked at the ikon2, very nice, and looks like upgrades are free ,my beastx+ i didnt bother unlocking safe etc, just v4.20 out the box, gov ran on hwing esc. So i think the microheli servos, your much more of an expert, kts 215 v3, x12,s or microheli? Thanx for your time, respect RC ADDICT

So no experience with the X12s servos so can’t comment on those. But the KST 215s are nice servos as well but after getting these MicroHeli servos they will be my go to servo on 470 and smaller helis! Going to get a set for my 470 and my 270. The build quality is superb over the KST 215‘s in my opinion and the gear train is incredibly smooth! I love Ikon FBLs. They are my go to FBL for any build. This heli is getting a Ikon as well! You get incredible features tune ability and everything is free for updates you get auto level rescue and so much more with out the need to buy anything to unlock it! Plus I really like the Ikon Software for setting up the heli. Hope that helps you man!

No matter how old and answer everyone’s questions to the best of my abilities. I personally can’t name another channel that does it.
