So the reason it’s a 3 finger handle is so in a self defense situation it can’t be taken away from the excess meat in the back. Also it’s more concealed. Janich is big about the knife sitting in the palm. It’s a kali/ knife fighting thing. The Jimbo line are for self defense. Not cutting boxes.

Does the Lil Native have the issue of the closing blade interfering with the compression lock? I know that can be annoying to some... And the MJ does not have that issue.

maybe not but it's plenty strong enough for anything reasonable task a person would use a folding knife for.
