This Expedition should've / still could've been turned into a Nat Geo Documentary.. Maybe Peter Coyote or Mike Rowe to narrate..

“Just want to get below this cloud.” I wish I could say that every day. Well done!

It was a chance in a life time, and it all went without incident. Awesome couple of weeks in Africa.

@@markjackson700 I can relate.. I did something similar on a paramotor. Not quite as high though. RMH signed off my paperwork, funny guy and so much knowledge.

How much fuel was consumed?
@markjackson700
@markjackson700 5 жыл бұрын
I don't know is the honest answer. I would guess at around 20 ltrs. I think we only took 30 ltrs to save weight, and we were on full power for around 40 mins as I recall.

@@markjackson700 Brilliant achievement. It reminds of the time I was an Official Observer for Bob Calvert's record attempt in the 1980s - he set the record at 19500 or thereabouts if I remember rightly, and I chased him with my 250 powered trike as far as I could go. I got to 10000 before running out of fuel

I don't know if I should admit this, but I was the "navigator" for Mainair's John Hudson in the Norfolk Air Race when we got hopelessly lost, and had to land to ask a farmer for directions!

Wow its about 1200 feet per litre up and down included, pretty good.. I got slightly scared when your oxygen problem started coming at that high altitude, but you guys continued the climb that was daring , thankfully all went well, we enjoyed your daring video. My congratulations to you both and your team.

Total stupidity for passenger in blue. In case of passing out of the pilot (yellow) , it would have been a death result for the blue guy.

Hi Sun Shine, You obviously know nothing about microlighting. I am an instructor and I teach people to fly by sitting in the back seat and the student sits in the front seat. The only thing I can't control in the back seat is the taxi brake, which is only used on the ground. If the person in the front passed out, the person in the back, who is a qualified pilot could fly back to the airfield and land without a problem. Thanks for your concern though.
