Microlocks - Perm Rod Set Tutorial

Here's a simple "How To" on styling your hair with perm rods - let's call it Sisterlock Styling with Kyla B. It'll be a mini series while I keep you guys posted on my sisterlocks journey. I'll be showing you guys how to do a rod set and then I will be showing you multiple ways to style your hair once it dries.

I have been wanting to get some sisterlocs mainly because everyone always says I would look very nice in them. I have been shying away from them because most people I see with them, their hair looks very dull, no shine whatsoever. I came across this video and now I’m a believer that sisterlocks can be shiny and worn like any other styles out there.

I just called a Sisterlocs trainee for consultation and installation...I want mine to be same as yours, we also have same hair length. How much did installation and consultation cost you? Your Sisterlocs are gorgeous by the way 😍😘😊

Thank you 😊. They cost me $1500. I refused to cut my hair for a price cut. 🤷🏾‍♀️ And if you have the same hair texture and density as me, that’s the only way they’ll look like mine. It all depends on hair texture. I’m sure your locks will look beautiful ❤️

@@TheRealKylaB thanks for replying, and for your encouragement, I am so excited 😁. I believe my hair is about the same length as yours, but 4c type and thick 😬. I started natural from scratch after a painful big chop about 4 years ago. I was pregnant, stressed, and tired and my hair was damaged by the relaxers 😖. Now that my hair is kinda long, I thought about doing Sisterlocs so I can keep my hair healthy and full 😊🙌 until I become an old lady since I will not have any more energy left for the 4c maintenance 😂. You are so pretty girl. I’m three months in my lock. So can you tell what should I do so my hair want get knots at the end of my hair by the end of the week cuz I think my hair thin like your. I normally get my hair braided when I get a retire. This will be my third retire on July 23 ,21. So I hope you can help a sister out. Please 😆. ✌🏾

Hey sweetie. Not yet I will this Friday on the 23. And I can’t wait. I was spaying my hair every day. And I stop I wasn’t braiding and ban every day either. But now I do. I think that might have been the problem the spaying cuz my hair was wet and than it would dry . But anyway I’m trying to learn about my hair and what my hair don’t like and what it do like. 😆 and I think my hair love the braid and ban butter cuz it seems like that’s stopping from getting knot it on the ends . And I stop spaying it every day too. But thank you so much and I just seen your one year look. Girl your hair is 🔥 period I know one day mine going to be 🔥 as well. Stay grateful and beautiful . ✌🏾. You can style it after. Just try not to over style it or use too much tension since they are new.
