Thanks for joining me on my thin hair/ fine hair Sisterlocks Journey / loc journey! Here's an update on my locks. I'm just a few days shy of 4 months and I can definitely se a difference.

Thank you so much 🤗. lol. I do have 3-4" of loose hair on most of my locs. I have really really tight coils for a curl pattern. The older my locs get, the tighter my curls seem to get too.

I finally found a hair twin! Your hair looks beautiful. I was on the fence of how small I wanted my locs. I was afraid it would look too thin and spacy, but seeing how nicely your locs has thickened up has encouraged me to move forward. I got test locs in Jan, decided to wait until after I returned from vacation in Feb, but then Corona hit and it was a wrap. Now seeing you, I am very excited to get my install. Question: How many consultations did you go to before you selected your consultant. She seem to have done a great job analyzing your hair density and texture to select the correct rotation for your hair.

Thank you 🥰 I had 2 consultations at the same salon 4 years apart. I actually ended up with a different consultant for my establishment than the one I had a consultation with. The original consultant told me that the other consultant is really good. Better than her even. So I looked at her work and decided that it was going to be okay. It ended up working out for me.

Test locs? Never heard of that. Can you tell me more?

That’s when you get a number of locks with different locking patterns to see which locking pattern is best for your hair.

lol. thank you. it's never looked this thick before. My consultant made sure to use the locking pattern that would give me the most volume. It's definitely working in my favor. My head is still scalpy unfortunately. Nothing I can do about that though. 🤷🏾

I'm at month 4 now and experiencing crazy frizz down the shaft. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Anything that I can do to fix it?

Frizz is normal. It's a part of the locking process. How much frizz, varies from person to person though. I don't know what your hair looks like, so I would advise you to ask the person who does your hair.
