Hi everybody, welcome to the video comparing some wide and narrow diaphragm cardioid microphones for Classical Double Bass. Thanks to the help of the Sound Technician Tommaso Olivieri I was able to realize this video to understand which could be the most suitable choice for your timbric /sound needs. we would be happy to hear your opinion and experience.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It may be an effect of the KZbin compression, but for each type, mics are tonally not miles apart, even their price tags are...

Hola José, gracias por tu comento! Yo me quedo con la grabación stereo, los Shoeps son los mejores pero muy caros, suelo alquilarlos. Lo Lewitt también muy buenos por su precio, 180€ la pareja, quizás un poco brillantes...los Line Audio un buen compromiso. Por el de diafragma largo me gusta el Lewitt, super

Bei video su un argomento importantissimo e attuale complimenti per l'idea! Una domanda o meglio un consiglio: Mi sembra che questa coppia di lewitt lct 040 diano un ottimo risultato. Pensavo di fare un invenstimento sugli Oktava mk-12, ma vedendo questo video ho iniziato a valutare anche i lewitt.. Un consiglio/confronto su questa indecisione fra 2 microfoni anche basato su un tuo gusto personale?

Ciao, grazie per il commento. Purtroppo non ho esperienze con gli oktava, so che sono ottimi microfoni, in relazione al prezzo. Quello che posso dirti è che anche i lewitt hanno un ottimo rattorto qualità/prezzo, sono un po'più spinti e aggressivi, che a volte per il contrabbasso non è male come idea, esprimono di più la parte mediosa e l'attacco del suono. L'alternativa sono i Line Audio, molto più flat e morbidi. Hanno il difetto di non essere molto "potenti", devo sempre alzare il gain con i conseguenti rumori di fondo, ma il suono è omogeneo e dolce. Adesso dipende dalla tua idea del suono di contrabbasso. Spero di esserti stato utile.

Thank you Maestro! I really like C414 and CMC 6+ Mk4. Lewitt is just tooooo beautiful for me, its not bass any more. What do you think? my 2nd choise will be Behinger or Line. Thank you for your Idea and Play!

Hi Wei Bass, thanks for your comment. I have too dry that I prefer the Lewitt 040 Pure, if you care about the price (280€) for such a beautiful mic.... it's incredible! And about schoeps...of course the are the top, but for budget mic the other tow sound very professional too. I fink that for and home recording the affordable but good mic are a must!

They each seem to be excellent microphones. Maybe personal preference is the legitimate criterion.

Schoeps I think does have the most detail across the spectrum but Line Audio sound F#(!&$ing close for a $100!

Absolutely agree with you! The Lewitt are a good option too on this price range
