Thank you so much for busting this myth. My intuition always told me that bottled waters weren't as bad as experts say.

Educating the public on the ease of recycling plastic is the way to go. Imagine the $$$ spent bashing plastics spent on educating the public, the impact this will have. You need to start in the schools. For many years I spent my own time in the grade schools teaching the kids that all plastics were capable of being recycled. Overwrap from paper towels, toilet tissue, bread bags, etc can all be brought to the big box stores and recycled with the plastic bags. Today these kids that have grown up tell me today that they still Recyling these items..... all started by education them!

Or....just use less? Use a refillable water bottle, use cardboard for carrying things or reusable tote bags...like, it's not hard. We don't need to use so many single-use plastics lol. Also the International Bottled Water Association was started in 1958, around the time plastics as an industry started booming

Bro it’s not going to take twenty thousand years, let alone one week, to eat a credit card worth of plastic. In fact I can prove that by eating a credit card right now. It will be down in seconds if I cut in a few small pieces.
