Hi, In Family subscription, do you get register for 6 different emails? Also, can each use the collaboration tool like MS Teams in their meetings?

First of all MS 365 Family subscription doesn't include MS Teams as it's only available with a business subscription or Free teams sign up or there is MS teams you can use free with your consumer subscription but only on a mobile device by registering your same Microsoft account. You have the possibility to share MS 365 Family subscription to other 5 people on their email address from your main account you must share first and they need to accept the invitation.

MS 365 Personal Subscription allows you 5 installations on different devices for all office applications.

When you share a subscription another member cannot access any data you are sharing subscription license only not rights that's how it design and when you cancel the subscription your one drive data stay as it is and you can download but you cannot upload.

Well. If you have paid for MS 365 Family recently and if its not more than 30 days. I would suggest to call support and cancel family subscription and purchase MS 365 Personal. If not then MS support can help you to downgrade in different way or if you try to downgrade it may happen that you need to pay full amount.

Natascha :) You have 30 days after payment was made if you have yearly subscription and to get refund you better call support 😉 this is my personal experience.

Sir, you answered a couple questions I had about the Microsoft 365 Family account. To summarize you said: * Family version allows yourself plus up to 5 people (per individual email address) for total of 6 users, * each person can use it on up to 5 devices (phone, tablet, etc. for a grand total of 30 devices), * each person gets 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage and * each person gets 60 minutes per month for Skype calls. What it not clear is how security is handled. Presumably each account is separate and there is no shared space unless you want to use the Teams feature. Only the license holder can add or remove users from the Microsoft 365 Family account. Could you speak a bit more about security and Teams?

Elizabeth S , Very good question 🙋‍♂️ When it comes to security between 6 users with shared microsoft 365 family subscription. Organizers can add and remove users/members. One drive 1TB space each user will get associated with their Microsoft Personal account or to their email address. If you have any documents on your onedrive other user won’t be able to access even tho subscription is shared with other users. Even tho Members of your shared subscription unable to see any payment information or they unable to cancel their shared subscription, they can’t see your other activities unless you give Organizer rights to them. If you got Microsoft personal account and sharing organisor rights then you can change from login to MS personal account->Family-> on that page you will see manage under particular email address of your subscription member.

Hello. I don’t have a Microsoft 365 software yet I just bought a new laptop. I have 2 members who will use the machine. What should I purchase? I just want the one with Excel and Access so I can use with work. I think I bought a Product Key only for Microsoft 365 Family P6, but I do not have the actual software itself. Will this product key suffice? Or is there a different product to purchase the MS 365 actual software? Hope you can advise thank you.

As you got already product key you must activate that using your microsoft account then you will be able to download actual software. Note: MS access is only for windows laptop/computer

Shameer K 1. yes organizer can delete or stop sharing family subscriptions anytime and add another users. 2. If you don’t renew subscription application you have will be limited access (Read-only mode) or data in onedrive will be there and you can download but cannot upload new data if its more than 5GB which is free

@@RavirajGharat Read only mode applies to Word, excel, powerpoint etc desktop app. Data in onedrive you can download back to your localdrive, share, view. If you cancel your subscription or if your free storage bonus expires, your data will continue to be accessible. You'll still be able to view, share, and download files on your OneDrive, but you won't be able to upload files until you buy more storage or free up space. If you continue to exceed your storage limit for an extended period of time, your account will be frozen. For info about bringing a frozen account back into good standing, see What does it mean when your OneDrive account is frozen? once it frozen you will lose data.

Hello Pravin. As you are the main account holder for subscription-> login-> click on Family tab from top blue color bar -> Create a family group-> Enter your friend personal email address in order to invite them.-> In your account you will have an option to accept invitation. Note: your friends should have Microsoft account with same email address your are sending invitation to.
