When will the Association DB template be available?

22:42 Based on the name alone I think I've also made one of these helper tables (except I think called them sourcelist or something! I feel validated that an expert also does this.

I am the treasurer of a historical society. I have and continue to build a database for most all of the types of data that you are going for here with the addition of an Accessions module for contributions to our small historical museum. I have found it to be beneficial to add a [Selected] or [IsSelected] field in the main tables. This is a universal Yes/No field that can be useful when you only want certain records to be included in a mailing, let's say that doesn't really relate to any other categories. This field can be easily cleared after a process with a simple SQL statement.

Very handy. I was planning to show how to send a mailing to ALL people (on the mailing list) or by membership type.

@@599CD There are times I do not want to select all that are on a certain list. This allows just a select few or just one.

Hi Richard. Thanks a lot for coming up with this. So far I have seen you have 4 parts to this series of videos. Out of curiosity, how many parts will there be in total? Back in October 2022, I was asked to do a clean-up of an existing small committee of a group of Health Professionals. I cleaned up the entire list which I was given in hand-written notes accumulated for the past 4 years and what not. It was a nightmare to begin with. At times I had heated debates with the person handing over because nothing was in order. I quickly jumped to Access based on the wealth of knowledge I had acquired from watching your videos. Right now I have a fairly good (much better than the previous system) database system that tracks Members, fees paid, donations received, event sales, expenses, etc. I look forward to watching this entire series and making a good amount of improvements on the current system

I have no idea how many parts there will be in total. Whenever I run out of ideas or get sick of working on it. Or if people stop watching. Then I'd be sad.

been watching, and learning, for a while. hopefully, I will be able to glean enough from this series to be able to create the technology asset inventory and help desk database my schools tech department needs.

This database won't handle any kind of inventory. You want: Inventory: 599cd.com/Inventory

Hi Richard. Really looking forward to this. I am treasurer for a local sports clubs with over 400 members and have used many of your courses to help me build a working database. However, the bit I am struggling with is different subscription models for different groups e.g. Juniors, Adults etc. And tracking monthly payments vs annual payments etc. The models will then all change for next season - it gets complicated! Hoping this series will give me some ideas. Thanks again for all of your content - much appreciated.

Yep. That will be covered by the membership types. Stay tuned.

Great idea, as I am in the process of building an HOA owners listing for my neighborhood. Not sure if you have already presented this in another of your educational series, but what about adding an "automatic" printing of a letter or invoice on a certain/specific day or date?
@599CD Жыл бұрын
I've got a couple of videos that already cover something similar: 599cd.com/MembershipDB and 599cd.com/ReminderPopupDate but I was planning on adding something similar to this database as well.

Hi Richard. Love your videos. Thank you so much, they have helped me grow so much in Access. Please could you make a video about Statements. A report system that will reflect all the invoices you created. Thank you!

That's different... I'll add it to the list. Not sure I'll put it in THIS database, but something, somewhere...

Dear Richard, I watch a lot of your videos and classes. I have put a database through this and am very happy. However, I have a database that is tracking my accounts. I have had difficulties to have a running balance where there are opening balance and running balance especially on filtered reports. Thanks

It would be easier for you to use Hindi subtitles, like Mr. Follower suggested, than for me to learn a whole new language and speak proper Hindi. Sorry. I'm 50 years old and learning a new language just ain't on my to-do list. :)
