Hi I tried the inventory query and it is working, but in my order form where I use a combo box to show the product names together with it's quantity on hand, the product name just duplicates instead of update the quantity on hand instead

Hi richard! I see your lots of free videos and learnt a lot about access from them. I also prepare my templates for make my work easy. I am now designing a inventory database for my sister's. I need to get valuation of my inventory in hand in terms of purchase cost. I wanted to set off my sold items in terms of FIFO (First In Fist Out) then need to calculate the value of my stock in hand at the end of the month. How do I do it? Can you suggest a few tips and tricks also.

Hello Richard, I am currently trying to develop a process for inventory at this company I am working at. I want to find a way to tell the part #'s where to go in our warehouse when scanned into our database based off of the company. For example we get an Incoming shipment from US steel, and I would like to develop a way for when our workers scan that part in for them to tell them where to put it. For example, Row A1, column 1. Question taking this knowledge I am creating a inventory database for Printer Parts and I have some parts that work for more than one model I have a model ID table already and would like to know how to assign a part multiple ModelIDs' so that I would not have to make multiple entries of the same part for each model, this way when stock goes out it can reflect one entry instead of having to adjust for multiple ones, can you advise please?

It seems to me that the orderdetail could use a combo box to select the product. That’s what I did on my learning database.

I have this question. I am now trying to make my first access inventory databased. I have a customer list, with its own product. Is there any way on how to do that when i select a specific customer on my delivery form, only their product will appear on the drop down list.

First, thank you for changing your channel name. I appreciate it. As far as your question goes, is it just one product per customer? In other words, each customer has ONE thing they order from you? Hello Richard, Been watching a lot of your videos.. I am currently trying to build a simply database for my company which is still operating off spreadsheets. I have a good idea where I want to go with things and I'm going through each section 1 at a time. I am currently trying to get our stock Done first. Have you a video regarding the Restock/Low Stock warning as well as a Subform added to a Stock Navigation Form say, which shows the item Low on stock with Qty and Supplier to reorder from?

Hi Richard. I really appreciate the tips and training on Access. I have a question about inventory. I am making an inventory section for the database that I created. But in the inventory, I can have 3 classes of a unique part number: Brand New, Rebuilt, and Running Take Out (RTO). How can I group the availability for each class? For example, if I have 4 pieces Brand New of Part Number 8156001, 10 Pieces Rebuilt, and 2 TRO and then want to add 3 pieces to Rebuilt one and sell 2 brand new ones, how can I get the database updated related to each class? I really appreciate your help in this regard.
