Speaking as a Steve and Apple fan for over two decades, Satya is fabulous. His passion is on display every time he speaks. He is unusually respectful of the competition instead of just flexing how great his business, hardware and software are. Immense respect for this man.

He killed mobile devices, he couldn't create smartdon and now he's killing surface pro and laptop. copilot? Nobody wants a spy on their computer watching and recording everything you do. Apple could have changed Intel x86 to ARM because they moved the entire company and system to the new platform. Microsoft can't do this because it has millions of customers with software that doesn't run on ARM.

Fabulous interview with Satya Nadella Emily!! Your questions were so ON POINT! There is a lot of confusion and fear for the average consumer w/r/t understanding the new products offered by AI to say nothing of the competition and the glaring safety issues. And all the more so with the incumbent multinational tech giants pulling the major levers- and Satya in bed with Open AI's Sam Altman whose own ethical compass is called into question!! THANK YOU FOR THIS! 👏👏👏

As someone who for the longest time bought 1000% into Microsoft’s products and vision for technology and being burned far too many times when they abandoned said product I’m not really sure why Microsoft should be trusted here. I’m not sure what makes this different than any other segment they’ve tried to enter, failed, and then pulled the rip cord as fast as they could. Microsoft’s AI model is built on Bing which is a far distant second to Google, which has its own AI that already has a leg up because it uses Google the dominant market leader in search. Couple all of this with the other gigantic issue that Microsoft has absolutely no mobile presence. Why on an iOS or Android device would I go out of my way to use Microsoft’s AI when I could use the built in solutions that Apple and Google will offer? The writing is on the wall that Microsoft like every other segment they struggle with will abandon this as well.

Good to see Qualcomm light a fire under Apple’s butt. But also Intel’s butt as well. An arm chip on windows is a much bigger threat to intel’s x86 hegemony than apple silicon ever was. Now intel is talking about lunar lake… a power point presentation not actual silicon. I will skip snap dragon x elite gen 1 but will be looking forward to gen 2. I would love a mini pc that can run Linux and windows, with a snap dragon chip. I would use that. But maybe Intel panther lake might be good and I won’t use arm. We will see. The biggest benefactor of all of this competition will be us, the consumer.

Actually, he did. I learned that Azure adds an extra layer of AI safety among any LLM models that are deployed in the cloud. This means MS does not need to completely depend on any outside companies LLM AI safety alignment plan but rather integrate the AI models into Azure AI safety alignment architecture.

@@senju2024 sorry but you are too dump to understand, don't follow this hype and lies of silicon Valley CEOs, there is no alignment safety architecture, what he talks about is the blacklisted prompts that make the chatbot say something it shouldn't say, also this technique exists for literally every LLM, I used openai APIs and implemented this safety layer myself because they offer it as api for developers, also did it for local llm when deployed it to our website. simply put, it's the most basics security layer that any developer can do, and has nothing to do with alignment whatsoever, also alignment is something nobody achieved yet because we didn't achieve general intelligence. it's something as hard as the later.

So eventually goodness of Google AI will come to your chromes Gmails YTs. It's good for us Customers. We get to enjoy AI on our phones Laptops and search engines. It's amazing how the technology is progressing. About MS laptops breaking it's not just MS, Dell Asus Acer Lenovo HP Samsung MSI everyone will make the same PCs and you have options.
