Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 - EasyJet Airbus A320 departing London Gatwick

I didn’t expect my last video, uploaded in July 2020, to be the last one for over a year, but sometimes life gets in the way! The release of MSFS2020 knocked me sideways a bit, and left me questioning whether I wanted to continue with the channel at all for a while. It’s a fantastic sim with truly breath-taking graphics, but there are still so many problems and limitations to iron out, and it’s taken me ages to get to grips with its menu and camera systems. And the lack of study level aircraft is a real pain.
However, the fantastic work being done by the Fly By Wire team has really made FS2020 come to life, and the amazing functionality they’ve managed to build into the A320 makes it very tempting to move over to the new platform full time. I still have P3Dv4 installed for the time being, as I need to fly 737 legs for one of the VAs I fly for. I’ve been watching PMDG’s progress with their NG very closely and can’t wait for that to be released.
So anyway, here it is - the first video for Season 13, and the very first video on the channel to feature Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020! I’m still getting to grips with the viewing system, so it’s a bit rough around the edges and not a patch on some of the amazing videos I’ve seen by other youtubers. But hey, I still enjoy making videos and hopefully each new video will be an improvement on the last.
Here we see the lovely FlyByWire A32NX, as EasyJet 803, departing London Gatwick for Edinburgh on a sunny September morning. The orange glow of the sun glints off the newly painted fuselage as we make our way out to runway 26L. The Lambourne 6M departure takes us on a right hand turn just after take off, and we get some stunning views of the airport below (and the fabulous job done by Origami Studios) as we head eastbound towards Lambourne VOR itself. We’ll be climbing to FL340 today on our 1hr 09m flight to Edinburgh.

The thing I find unrealistic is that all the luggage goes up the conveyor when I watched it they threw it so hard that every third case bounced off and fell on the floor.
