when u wanna direct to a waypoint rather than vectors, click on waypoint on mcdu menu and place it on the top most waypoint which replaces it telling the computers to go direct to ur desired waypoint. what u did was click on the way point and click execute. what u should do is click on MASKA and click on vectors which it replaces vectors with MASKA and then u have to click on execute telling the fligth to fly direct to MASKA.

You can adjust the auto throttle speed to 250 knots at 10k feet. Also when descending like that if you’re too fast, you can use the speed brakes. The lever is right next to the throttle levers.

You need way more flap. You only have 5 degrees on your landing you should have 30.

Landing wasn’t too bad after all. Unless otherwise instructed, at most major European and Middle Eastern airports, there are speed restrictions: 250-210 knots on the STAR, 210 knots in the airport vicinity, 180 knots until 10 NM, and 160 knots until 4 NM, or something similar. As a rule of thumb, you can use 10 NM at 200 knots, 9 NM at 190 knots, 8 NM at 180 knots, and so on. This way, you won’t come in hot and high and will always be able to set your flaps during the final descent. What you don’t want is to come in hot and high and intercept the glideslope in that state, because if not properly configured, these aircraft are like gliders-once you’re too hot and high, you’ll stay too hot and high.

the altitude mentioned onto the right side of the waypoints is the altitude you are supposed to maintain at that particular waypoint. one way you can do it automatically is select the last waypoint's altitude before you touchdown and let the autopilot automatically descend you as per the altitude restrictions making your life way easier :)

It would be really cool to see the outside view AS the flaps are lowering. Especially during landing, that and some wing-views (from inside the cabin) would really set this off in terms of realism. Videos are already awesome!

If replay was in the career mode I would certainly be getting those angles! Unfortunately it isn't, only free mode but I'll try and get those regardless in the future especially once I get more familiar with the plane too! 🙂

Nice job! Next step is to learn how to do ILS approach and landing. If done right the AP and AT takes care of speed and descent and line up for you apart from the flaps and throttle down. Thumbs up!

Dont forget your lights, keep them on until you hit 10000 and turn them back on as you decend through fl 10000, and do go faster than 250 knots below 10000. I also suggest configuring on speed, drop each notch of flaps and the gear at the speeds listed on the data plate.

The 737 lands best on flaps 30. It doesn’t float and want take back off like on 15 but it also doesn’t lose speed too fast and drop to the runway like it does on 40 when the power is pulled back.

The point where u should get off autopilot is when u are already established on ILS and you feel confident enough to take the control of the flight and land safely. i usually do it when im established on ILS and im at 1000 ft or above. give me enough time and space to adjust my aircraft if there is any crosswinds/headwind/tailwind and land smoothly. apologies fr too many comments im typing comments as i am watching it xD

I haven't really flown the airliners in MSFS, however your passenger satisfaction might be lower due to the climb rate / descent rate. IRL most Airliners climb at 2500-3500fpm at take off depending on fuel and weight then proceed between 1500-2500fpm till cruise.

Missed to turn on taxi lights while taxiing and also missed landing lights while take off. taxi lights and runway lights comes off after take off but landing lights should stay on under 10k feet both while landing and take off

My passengers are never satisfied. However, I got a flight to Nanjing and they didn't complain despite my 45° bank angles and -5000VS drops because I think they are trained to not complain there.

I’m just starting to understand how to fly the starting plane Cessna and starting to get proficient in landing it too and I have like 30 hrs into just that plane alone. Career mode is so awesome and I hope they continue improve the mode. It adds a lot of “goals” and directions for the player. I play no other mode. SAR missions are my favorite. I’m saving up $ for SAR company. The game punishes you too extremely and lowers your grade substantially which I think needs more improvement and not be so punishing. That’s my only gripe and ofc a some bugs they definitely need to workout.

you can keep the flight on autopilot all the way till touchdown but keep decreaisng the speed and giving flaps as per the speed. usually full flaps while touchdown and 140 to 150 knots speed while touchdown is ideal for a smooth landing

Wait. does the mission not make you set up the FMS? The missions are so broken, not to mention the 737 max is pretty broken itself. The flight plans wont import correctly from simbrief which is a total deal breaker for me. Also, your're carrying way to much fuel for a short hop. I see the missions also didn't bother with that basic level of realism.

Update: after the patch, simbrief pans seem to import now and all of the avionics seem like they are functioning, however, it doesn’t look like app mode works when landing …not that I ever press that button! 😎 as for the career missions , yea they are still pretty broken for the most part
