I have always like the CT182, both in 2020 and in 2023. And yes I still do fly it, but there are certainly many GA aircraft released since then that I love even more. But that said, there is still room in my electronic hanger for the 182.

I'm waiting for A2A to bring out their version of the 182. I flew it in FSX and P3D and loved it totally - apart from it not working with the Saitek Autopilot panel.

I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one. They haven’t released anything for MSFS yet and it’s been 3 years. They have their first aircraft in beta now. Great company though.

I just bought the 182T today. I loaded it on my Xbox series s and after one flight I'm reasonably impressed. But I find some troubling bugs. The range buttons on the MFD is not working the display is stuck at 2.5. trim control can be unstable at times the tablet does not work and the windows do not open. But I will persevere and learn to enjoy her she's fast. If you have any feedback please reply.

I’m not sure on Xbox on how things work but I haven’t seen any other reports like this. My try reinstalling it? Do you own any other Carenado aircraft? You can submit a ticket on Carenado’s website and I would see on the MSFS forums if others with the series S are having issues. I have definitely heard from other Xbox users that it has been working fine. But they did not say if they were on the X or S.

I have bought all Carenado planes collections for FS 2020. But I think it could be an opportunity of improvement for them to improve the manuals specially for beginers. I n my case I m a pilot real student with 35 hours C152 and this year had the opportunity to fly a C182 and is very equal to Carenado.Thanks

It is not great for visibility but this is actually the way the G1000 version is. I thought it was an error on Carenados part but here is a great link to a full look at a real one and you can see the pilots head is well above the top of the window and that dash is huuuuge. The head tracker definitely helps to suck down to see out the windows but it is a stark contrast to the 172. Appreciate you watching and commenting! kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5LMdn-wiZmtpbc Cheers!

Any ideas on how to turn the flight director on???
@sprocketsimulations
@sprocketsimulations Жыл бұрын
This version of AP does not have a flight director. You would need the G1000 with a the GFC 700 like in the Asobo 172. This era of the 182t was one of the first aircraft with the G1000 and there was no GFC700 yet. I’m guessing this was early 2000’s version and accurate for this version IRL.

I have many Carenado planes in my hangar, but I wouldn't buy the Cessna CT182T again. It was one of the first planes available in the MSFS marketplace, and since then, the sim has changed significantly. However, the aircraft has only been partially adapted, making it feel uncomfortable to fly. The newer Carenado planes are much better and, therefore, more recommendable. Additionally, the side window view in the Cessna 182 is very limited, as can be seen in many real-life photos. The G1000 in the Cessna occasionally has problems, as does the autopilot, which cannot be operated flawlessly with the G1000 keys. I think the Mooney or Bonanza from Carenado has much more charm, as well as the Seneca. Perhaps this is also because I don't like glass cockpits that much.
@sprocketsimulations
@sprocketsimulations Жыл бұрын
I agree on the glass cockpits entirely! If you use the NXi from the marketplace the G1000 is as good as the current one in the sim. But that KAP140 AP is definitely a pain to sync with the G1000 at times. I watched a IRL video of a guy flying this version. I think they made it in the 2004/6ish era before they were updated with the newer AP. I bought this when it first came out and never really flew it because of the window height issue you mentioned. Now I have a head tracker it is not an issue but definitely worth noting! Thanks for the great comment and watching!

@@martinmusiet9780 I don't have the Archer. It's another PA28. The Arrow, Comanche, Cherokee, Warrior, and Cadet are also PA28s. If you have the JF Arrow, I would prefer the Bonanza. The V35 is very beautiful and easy to fly. Maybe it's better to wait for the new analog Bonanza mod from Just Flight (Black Square), which is being released in a few days. You can search for reviews on KZbin. It's amazing!

Did you say if this was pressurized?
@sprocketsimulations
@sprocketsimulations Жыл бұрын
It is not pressurized but you do have oxygen on board to use above 10,000. This would be through a mask or nose piece. Each occupant will have a little plug to hook into. The on/off switch for this is modeled but I do not think the gauge will change with use.

I have a simple rule: stay away from Carenado planes. Shiny yes but no real in depth simulation of planes. For arcade flying guys enough, for guys that are into simulation simply to simple
@sprocketsimulations
@sprocketsimulations Жыл бұрын
I agree besides the arcade comment. They are definitely not high levels study but they also do not claim to be. The flight models and numbers are pretty accurate to real world numbers and reports. But the lack of functionality and study level is definitely reflected in the price. There is room for both and getting a $17 aircraft that flies well, looks great, and will usually have analog gages with support for the WTT GTN750 to me is a bargain. If I want ultimate failures and checklists and full functionality I fly something different but is also usually 3-4 times the price. I consider them more MSFS default aircraft level and they do a good job at that. I’m definitely into simulation and love aircraft like the C414 and the new black square analog series. Downside to black square is that it uses default asobo aircraft and is not a stand alone product. For example the new Baron you can’t not use it unless you have the premium/deluxe version. Plus no static elements or interaction with doors/windows/other cabin features. If you’re into airliners there is some great options like PMDG and even the new 310. For GA you are limited on implementation of realistic failures and complete functionality. Milvitz, FlySimWare, and Black Square are kinda the only ones. Carenado has its place but I wouldn’t call it arcade. The Beech 18 is a great example along with the 170b. Fantastic aircraft to fly. What is your go to GA for study level? I’d love to find more!

@@sprocketsimulations Infos the Cessna 310r are mostly. Concerning Carenado I see no point in flying planes that are far away from the real thing and or lack of system depth and reality. If you fly and never use mixture or prop and never watch temps then I call it arcade. 414 is also great but the 310r is absolutely the best for me. Concerning heavy’s i wait for something good on Xbox. The 310 might be good but it’s an unfinished product. So I am happy to wait for something real good. Btw concerning plane prices: buying 2 Carenado for each 20 euro or 1 310r for 35 is for me nothing compared to the extremely better plane.
@sprocketsimulations
@sprocketsimulations Жыл бұрын
Understand your stance, and again if you want more realism with functionality I agree. But on Xbox you really do not have the same functionality yet. WASM was just released with SU12 so hopefully you will be getting the same experience that PC users have soon. Even the 414 has to be stripped down along with the 310 due to Xbox limitations. Happy flying my friend.

Needless to say those weird crosswind take-off where the gears simply decide to slip wherever they want even with correct trim set, correct rudder and stick input and this before rotation speed
