Great review Mike! I generally find that your reviews are much more detailed(and frankly better) than other reviews on KZbin which tend to be shorter and not cover the software features as in-depth as you do. Also, I find that they are the least biased compared to others. Looking forward to other reviews too!

Does the CPU throttle the boost clock or does it persist at a certain clock above the base clock? I tested the M-Y70 in a fanless configuration and its 'boost' clock was only applied during initial processing of an application then persisted at a clock speed only slightly higher than its base clock speed (1.3Ghz which was horrible). Reason i ask is because I plan on buying a new tablet to upgrade from the surface pro 2, but having trouble finding an actual upgrade and was hoping the surface 3 was.

Nice Job again Mike. Your videos really help me to make purchasing decisions. I've stayed away from the hated tiles interface of windows 8.1 and stuck to Win 7 but I'm going to go for Windows 10 and am toying with the idea of ditching Android and having a windows laptop, tablet and phone for near perfect continuity. It would be great if you did a specific video looking at the pros and cons of system unity. You could do one with an all windows set up and one with an all OS X/IOS set up (computer, laptop, tablet, phone).

Great review video. Little question/remark about the "foot" at the edge of a kickstand... on Surface 3 Pro models there is a same thing. It is NOT polymer but magnetic metallic material. The purpose is NOT to protect the surface you rest your laptop on, but to interact with magnets in magnesium casing and clap the stand into place (since magnesium that Surface is made from is not magnetic). I guess the same should be for Surface 3...

Remarkably comprehensive 10 minute review. Yes windows 8.1 has two modes. Instead of being confused by that--consider how it could assist your work--ie--use typecover and trackpad to navigate menu heavy desktop apps

Nice :) Finally - with this price point and still fairly decent specs - the Surface is an interesting pick to consider for Windows users (and PS artists/illustrators, although I don't know how much lag there is in brush strokes).
