You actually get better battery life when turning adaptive brightness off. It will no longer be constantly scanning the light and if you set it to a consistent lower brightness setting it will greatly increase your SoT.

You mentioned it was a little buggy when trying to press buttons, I noticed because of the form factor you are now using your thumbs instead of maybe a index finger, I could see your thumb was aiming too high and opening the notifications bar instead as example.

how do you make it not glitchy as hell? my dad works for microsoft and ive loved that company forrever, but this phones got me super frustrated sometimes. Also the standard "volume down + power" also works for screenshots, but it will screenshot both screens regardless of if its folded, which is kinda weird lol

I'm having trouble finding a way to have different notification sounds for the different apps, they all use the same noise. I've had the device over a week now and believe Microsoft nailed the hardware for my use cases, they need to spend more time on working the software bugs out. I'm hoping that happens inside the return window.

Under quick settings is there a way to add mobile hotspot to the quick launch tray? It's something I use a lot on my current phone and was wondering if it can be added there since I've had phones in the past that it couldn't be added.

Yes swipe down twice on quick settings and hit the pencil(edit) at the bottom swipe again to see the rest of the quick toggles and drag it where you want it. Do this in portrait mode so you can see absolutely All toggles.
