Any way that you can get an overview planning of the planner? Making plans per person in a team, gives you a planner overview but only to yourself. is there a way for a manager/taksplanner, to get a total view of all (or teams selected) planning. At this point, we make a seperate teams just for planning, which means double work and hard to keep track of.

Hi Rachel, thanks for the positive feedback. To answer your question, to distribute your slide deck to all your students quickly and efficiently, simply create a Team for your 2nd graders, insert each of your students within the team as members. You can then create a Channel for the specific topic area or just use the default General channel, go to the files tab and upload the file directly there. You can then go to the Channel that holds the file and announce it to the students. Hope this helps. Also, check with your IT Admin to see if your school is using Office 365 for Education, the Teams application for Education uses templates that have been built for the Education Sector.

You are not doing anything wrong ! All files shared privately through Instant Messages are managed by OneDrive, and all files shared publicly through the Teams work space are managed by SharePoint. This means you can access files shared in Teams from either of those applications.

Ugh. I absolutely despise Teams. It’s a cluttered mess. If I want to keep files, I use Sharepoint. If I want IM, I will use Skype. Email? Outlook or Gmail. All I see Teams being used for is confusing personnel about the location of ANY official documents, etc. I’ve already seen this in two companies. It got so bad that one of them banned its use completely, for anything outside of IM/online meetings.

Check out our new Teams Updates 2020 video, there's a feature called Focus Mode. That still doesn't automatically make it so that students can't see each other. Everyone can see each other's cameras on a meeting.

Some features are a bit confusing and require more careful study. When you add many users to one project, the overall system performance drops significantly. I switched to Zentao and it has more features and easier to understand.

Nicely and professionally produced video thank you. Trying to understand why Teams is good (like everybody tells me. This is what I learned: So instead of having one neat email box (which is then less cluttered) I have yet another channel which I have to tend to? Which is more messy and less structured than anything I have seen before (except for my 15 year old's bedroom maybe)? How is that going to help me work effectively? It is wasting my time, that's what is does. I am using Teams to write an email? Why do I not use an email client? I just don't see how this is supposed to be easier. It's more complicated. Persistently saving all conversation over months? Now, that is neat and not art all confusing. Encourage people not to play email ping pong and doing the same in Teams? You are kidding, right? If I want to keep an important item, I don't flag it but I draw it into OneNote and DELETE the unnecessary rest of the conversation. Why keep crap? This program is a dream for messies! You can title group chats? Now that's a feature? In my mind it would be the barest minimum. If I ever want to find it again. You are selling this like it's the best invention since sliced bread. Really? I gave up at 2:52 min. I have no time for this Teams thing, sorry. Not your fault.

Hi Raphuram, great questions. One other thing you can investigate is to check with your IT Admin to make sure there are no Office 365 Global policies that have been changed to prevent sending an email directly to a Channel.

yes, if you join the call they get read-only access to your machine, where they can see your running processes (also browser programs). You can turn this off in the "turn off china mode" in settings, security.

Hey Bobu, if you're within the Conversations Tab of a Channel, just select the reply option of a post, and reply to that conversation post. If it's a private chat within the Chat View, it works a lot like text messaging/Skype for Business. Hope that helps!

What planet is the company Mailclark on thinking they can charge the same monthly price as an Office 365 Business User license? Dont get me wrong mailclark is a very nice app but when you consider that it is only an app addon for O365 that costs the same as O365 it doesn't offer value for money. They are charging more for their addon app than teams itself! I am expecting people will argue about the time saved by this app versus employee cost per hour. But I call rubbish on that. Microsoft has set the bar and addons need to be priced accordingly. This is not unique to Mailclark I have seen same with companies charging $5 per user just to manage email signatures. Makes me laugh every time.

Microsoft Teams makes a lot of false claims and once you get under the hood, you'll find the engine okay but with a lot of the mechanics missing. For example, the "Blur background" feature is restricted and not fully available. Screen sharing is limited and cannot be used to share apps installed onto Teams, although you can share externally.

MS Teams is not without its faults, but to describe it as crap and poorly integrated is just misinformation. Maybe its gotten better since you used it, or maybe your use case scenarios are just edge cases that dont fit the mould. I'm sure google sheets is good too btw, but I dont know enough about it.
