Great introduction Lars! Today I guess you could add a secondary presenter by having a Teams meeting on the OBS-PC and adding NDI source from Teams to OBS.
@larsberlau

Yes that would be a nice way to do it. This recording was before NDI was enabled on Teams.... or at least before I was aware of it ;-) But using NDI would be the way to do it.

Lars, How did you get such a good video feed from OBS. My stream is very pixelated in Teams.

@@allanjeorgemeriel9040 For Video Encoders you should know something known as Bitrate of a Video. It essentially is a Unit which basically decides what Codec to use. And Codec is actually an Algorithm which will helps us to Upload the Video. It compresses Data and due to that things get pixelated. There are three Codecs used while we Produce some Video. 1. A codec which is used by the camera or the Capturing Device, which writes the data or in simple words Captures the Video or Gameplay. The Codecs vary from Device to device. A Mirrorless or a DSLR Camera might be able to take RAW Videos from 1080p 60 FPS to 4K 30 FPS or 60 FPS(Depending on the Camera Resolution the device can handle and you choose) and your Mobile Camera(Fun Fact : They are all Mirrorless Cameras) might not. So what does RAW mean? Well it's in the Name, that the Camera can Capture Videos which feel like as if they are all being looked from your eyes. Their File Sizes are Enormous and Huge as they are in Lossless Quality. Now RAW footage is usually used in large projects or for Content where the Production value is too high or where Attention to small details are very much required. 2. The second Codec is used when we edit the Footage we got from the Production or in the industry it is said Post-Production. This is mainly used so that the Video Production Process is easy and large files don't lag. 3. The last Codec is where after the Export the Live Streaming Service chooses which algorithm to use to Compress data enough to upload or stream. VP9 is one of the best Codecs as you'll get sharpe images and the Video is pretty much crystal clear. The video will not get pixelated upon having more movement in the video. Now I am a little confused if VP9 works with KZbin's Live Streaming Servers or not, but in Twitch VP9 are available. And it's pretty Awesome! There is another Codec i.e. AV1 which we can say is in the borderline of being fast, reliable and easy to use. KZbin has it for the regular videos and it is really good for people who have to make content fast but the Quality shouldn't hit die to time. AVC or h.264 is the most often used Codec and is widely supported across platforms. It is fast but the Quality hits hard on it. My Choice : VP9 for the best result. For more about Codecs and Encoders I suggest you read the Article and the video link down below:- support.google.com/youtube/answer/2853702?hl=en#zippy= kzbin.info/www/bejne/epjIi6uhfdyGitE

Hi Lars, good tutorial. I've subscribed and follow your channel. Love it. One question, on TEAMS LIVE, is it possible to have a guest presenter on the same screen as the producer (and/or another presenter). Like a talk show scenario. Or like TEAMS meeting where you can have more than 1 person on screen talking. How to do this on teams LIVE?
@larsberlau
@larsberlau 4 жыл бұрын
Directly in Teams Live Event it is not possible to have several video feeds at the same time yet. Although all presenters experience it just like a Teams meeting, but the producer choose which video feed that will be send in the Live Event. If you do it with OBS, you could send two video feeds at the same time by doing a Scene in OBS with both video feeds. It will be easiest if both cameras is on the same location. But is possible to do via OBS and grab the content from a Teams/Zoom call. Might be something you can use in this article that I wrote: www.linkedin.com/posts/lars-berlau_teamsliveevent-techadventure-microsoftteams-activity-6680156574046019584-3ia4

@@larsberlau Good idea - OBS and teams or zoom. But OBS is not an easy set up and steaming takes too much bandwidth. Lagging. :(.

You mentioned that you can't use OBS with a public Teams Live event - what is this restriction?
@larsberlau
@larsberlau 4 жыл бұрын
Right now it is only possible to use OBS in Teams Live event, when it is inside the organization. Although you could use OBS Virtual cam, which then creates a OBS Cam, that you will be able to choose in the Live Event.
