Thanks for the video. Teams is not included with any of ms365 license package since mar 24, and I think teams phone standard is also not included with E5. Microsoft 365 E5 (no Teams) $54.75 user/month (Annual commitment)

My pleasure. Thanks for the update! Yes, they switched it up on me after I made the video, so I should do an updated 2024 pricing video.

You mention CAP (Common Area Phone) license for Conference Phone. This is false as of September 23. MS broke the ability to assign the IPPhonePolicy that sets MeetingSignIn mode. CAP makes the phone basic dial tone only. No calendar, no join button for scheduled meetings.

I think there is some confusion. The license I mentioned is a "shared device license," for what I term a common area phone.

I need an individual plan

it seems cheaper to just get an on-prem phone system and done. if you add up all that cost, plus your m365 cost.

Well, then we're back to the argument of cloud vs. on-prem. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4etf3WYd6xkaNUsi=liugEHyp8xcqoO6Z

Doesn't MS host phone service? I certainly don't want to pay 2 bills if I don't have to.
@Aerocominc3 ай бұрын
Yes, they do. Microsoft can sell you a "calling plan" bundled with "Teams Phone Standard." And yes, that would make it one bill. On the other hand, by using the right Operator Connect vendor (for their calling plan), a medium-large-size business will get much lower pricing on the calling plan, better customer service, plus additional feature plugins (i.e. SMS/Text, call recording (always on), call analytics, failover, etc.).

@@Aerocominc What Operator Connect vendors do you recommend? One man show here, just exploring options for my small business.
@Aerocominc23 күн бұрын
@@JustOneSmallExplorer Operator connect vendors will typically have a minimum requirement of 10-50 users. For only one user, your best option is to just sign up with Microsoft directly for a calling plan. You can buy a bundle for $15/month for Teams Phone Standard and a Calling Plan, combined.
