To-Do is truly the most underrated Task/To Do apps available. Easily, it is the best free task management app available.

agreed. it's been the most intuitive task app considering it makes flagging emails in outlook to be very functional. one thing i wish is that the mobile app had the ability to utilize multiple accounts so you can separate work and personal lists. but i don't think i can go through my day now without opening and seeing what my open items and tasks are, especially for groups on projects. works great.

The "assigned to me" list is great for being able to manage tasks assigned to you from Microsoft Planner. If you're working in a Team environment this is great. Problem is though, you cannot move those tasks into any of the lists that you create in Microsoft To Do. A bit of a lost opportunity there. Also, natural language processing is currently missing from the Mac app, and even the web app. I hope this all gets addressed someday.

I am extensively using Microsoft To Do since its launch. Great for beginners but definitely lacks lot of things for experienced users. I hope there will be a proper integration with Task List on Microsoft Loop and Task List in Microsoft To Do.

Still baffles me why they can’t have a “Tomorrow” day. Most folks will plan their day tomorrow before leaving rather than being limited to plan only for Today.

@@Spp235. Their backend can also definitely handle "recurs X days after complete" type tasks but they haven't made a UI to use them in To Do, which is just weird. Would be really easy low hanging fruit.

The "Flagged Email" is totally missing from my Microsoft To-Do. I tried to check the settings to activate it but there is nothing there, just planner. Am I missing something? How do I get it?

Go to the setting and activate the flagged email option

@@datacenterspecialistHow? I get the same problem as the OP. Outlook doesn't show as something to connect to, just Planner. I have Outlook and have flagged emails within it after opening ToDo, but ToDo doesn't show these emails, and I can't find a method of doing so.

We discovered a problem with recurring tasks and need work around. We have routine tasks that are set for every 3 months. Problem is when we fall behind on doing a task. If the task was due January 1st but we completed that task February 1st, upon completing the task, when it creates the next event, it will show its due 3 months after the original due date and not the date it was completed. We need it to create a new task with the due date 3 months after is was done.

I think most task manager follows this principle.

Is there a way to connect To Do to a calendar app, in the least Outlook calendar, to use for time blocking.
@Komatik_ Жыл бұрын
Outlook Online / One Outlook have a To Do sidebar. You can drag tasks from the sidebar to the calendar to make calendar events with the task's info automatically input. The event is only patterned after the task, though, the two are not linked. Outlook on Windows also has side panels in the calendar view that deal with tasks in a similar way (and can show tasks due for the day below the day in weekly view). The tasks are the same ones you'd see in To Do - To Do is basically a minimal Exchange Client behind the scenes and the tasks are stored in your Exchange Online mailbox. These work if you're using an M365 mailbox, To Do itself doesn't work with local email servers and I'm not sure if a different provider's email + Outlook Tasks in Outlook actually syncs the tasks between devices.

,,How to Use Microsoft To-Do in 2023?" How? Well, no way. Sice 2017 the Android ToDo app still doesn't has the categories. So it's useless for sync tasks from Outlook to Android. 6! YEARS! For this BASIC feature. MS can be really dumb sometimes (well, tbh on many occasions)

Fun fact: MS ToDo web app? Yeah, it does support the categories, lol. Just Android app does not

So complicated! Not going to use. I will spend more time learning the tool than using the tool to save me time! Microsoft makes sheatty software.
@Spp235. Жыл бұрын
Actually it isn’t complicated. Most is very intuitive. The complexity is simply due to the fact there is a LOT of customization available to the user. You will not likely use most of this - certainly at the start. But as you use it, you will want some customization options and will be very happy to see that this functionality is available to you. You don’t need to know or master every nuance to use this very effectively.

I’m slowly becoming a Microsoft Man 😁 I LOVE my iPhone and iPad, to me it gave us the first simple, fast and secure software & the hardware is still so firm & clear. Microsoft has always had the best, most-detailed office software tho. Recently I have deleted Apple’s Reminders, Mail & Calendar… I find OneDrive to back up faster than iCloud. With OneDrive, I’m logged in w/ the other MS Apps like Outlook (my new email & calendar), OneNote (my journals & plans), and ToDo (daily planner/ reminders). They all sync together w/ my wifi & OneDrive. Hope it gets better for you
