Thanks for informations. Will SPFx (.sppkg) wep parts be affected by this?

SPFx solutions are not impacted with this. This depreciation only applies to SharePoint add-in/app model which was introduced back in 2012.

It would be nice if you could highlight that this video only applies to Sharepoint online. Some of us are using Sharepoint 2019 on Prem and do not have the benefit of power automate etc so workflow 2013 cannot be removed

SharePoint add-ins are only deprecated in the SharePoint Online. There's no impact on the deprecation announcement for the on-premises.

I have an existing SharePoint Add-in in production, to which I make updates (atleast once in a month) and release the updated version to tenant appcatalog. As per this video update, does it mean that I won't be able to make any new updates to the existing app after March 2024. Please confirm.

No. March 2024 date is for SharePoint Online Store and not your tenant App catalog. Your add-ins that you deploy to your own tenant app catalog would continue to work in your existing tenant until April 2026.

Sharepoint SPFX is a true disaster.......a bunch of crap.

Sorry to hear that - can you provide more details why that's your opinion? Notice that this video is around SharePoint add-ins which was introduced in 2012 and will be now then discontinued. No impact for the SPFx within the UX level.

@oft365Community Yes i know...I'm also a former Microsoft MVP for SharePoint. My critics are aimed to SPFX, a clear example of "cheap" approach to development architecture. Build a mimimal set of Rest API for client side extensibility with no support for aspnetcore development (a nonsense) and no Visual Studio support. Add version dependecies with node.js and typescript/javascript library, a bloathware gulp build approach and the recipe for the best crapware is cooked...

@@DomTube1337 old react, old node, even older react and node on premise, fluent ui is clunky at best. about 600mb npm packages. upgrade process between spfx versions isn't reliable. No real usecase, unless you add a backend with more permissions. SPFx is a pitty product/framework for the sharepoint devs to keep them occupied while they slowly retire the brand sharepoint and move everything to power platform. "community" this and "community" that is microsofts way of saying "we don't care about this technology". In a few years they are going to deprecate SPFx and Power Whatever will be the only way to "develop" for m365, and this will basically kill sharepoint as an app development platform.
