The reason that the Command Prompt became obsolete was because it could NOT do graphics or use a mouse , or do fonts. Any new command prompt must be able to do these. i.e. I often have several command prompts open, and can't tell what's happening on any one of them unless I change the background color. i.e. red for error, green for good. If I could set a background image for each one, I could tell which command prompt is which, and what is happening. Also, each command prompt is spitting out so much text, I can't tell what text is important text and what is not. So I had to program a batch script to spit out Large Text Letters made from Ascii font text, i.e. CRITICAL ERROR! So I could see at a glance what's happening. These 3 things MUST be incorporated into the new Command Prompt, Graphics,Mouse, Large Fonts.

Microsoft, its about F'ing time you made Windows more esthetically pleasing. Personally my first priority is functionality since at work I need things to work well. But after that when I experiment and researching things for projects, I do enjoy more beautiful UI's in my programs. And using the windows command line has been such an unenthusiastic and lame experience. Parts of windows 10 still give me 8-bit GUI vibes compared to various linux distros and macOS. Why you are 10-15 years late behind on this is beyond me. Just for clearance im not scolding the designers or the devs. But im scolding whoever manages and makes the decisions revolving this.

Are you talking about the WSL capability or the Windows Terminal, which is what this video is about? If the latter, you can create or upvote an issue at github.com/microsoft/terminal/issues for whatever you feel is lacking.
