MicroStrategy executive chairman explains why he's bullish on bitcoin

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) prices have hit new highs in 2024 thanks, in part, to the launch of spot bitcoin ETFs. It's not a surprise to MicroStrategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, a longtime bitcoin bull, who calls the cryptocurrency "the best investment asset."
MicroStrategy (MSTR) recently increased its bitcoin holdings by 12,000, which Saylor says the company will continue doing. When asked if MicroStrategy will use some of its bitcoin holdings to return money to shareholders or make an acquisition, Saylor was clear, "we believe that the highest, best use of capital is to buy bitcoin and hold the bitcoin" adding that "bitcoin is the winner" compared to other assets.
Overall, Saylor says the use case of bitcoin is "capital preservation." Saylor compares investing in bitcoin to buying a home in a city everyone wants to move to, saying bitcoin "is the apex property of the human race."

Bitcoin doesn't need any action to boost the price. It is a unique coin as well as the mother ship of cryptocurrency which is considered as digital gold, and is used as an asset store for big investors. So as long as the digital world still exists, bitcoin will continue to be king.

It's not, in my opinion. Bitcoin becomes the new bottom once it surpasses its all-time high. Any purchase under $69k is wise. Working with a fiduciary advisor is still advised rather than depending just on conjecture.

The only issue you might have is the fear of missing out, just like everyone else. A good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisors in exploring new markets, but over the past 10years I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $400K in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure.

What I don't understand is why someone in tech, like Saylor, isn't talking about nm chip fab limitations in new SHA256 mining equipment and how that creates a ceiling for BTC. TBh i think i'm not going to sell my btc just keep it on cold storage. I don't hold that many only 0.2 btc so selling even at 200k is only 20k. Michael Saylor said it before (in another interview) that while there is no point in selling the winner and buy the losers, there are things in life that are worth spending bitcoin on. His example were for a good education, or to pay for daughter’s wedding. He is a genius!

BTC would have been purchased cheaper 3 months ago so selling now would be a big gain. 3 months ago is when he started doing this mass purchasing and the news on BTC halving started gaining popularity (again), and on top of that that it’s an election year so a lot of factors promoting this rally will slow down inevitably
