A little off topic but related, it makes no sense for apple or Microsoft to care about investing in bitcoin. If you want them to put 10% of their balance sheet onto bitcoin why dont you just sell 10% of your Microsoft shares and buy your own bitcoin. It's the exact same thing. People don't buy apple or Microsoft for their investment strategies they buy it to get returns from their tech

I think the idea is for companies to park money they aren't currently using (Treasury) in Bitcoin because it gains more value than other investments they could make. I get your point though, a tech company should ideally be putting their money into R&D, not financial investments.

@@darkfangulas No, it's not. They hold 111 billion in treasury/cash equivalents. 111 billion that is losing value as the currency is being debased. This is entirely about capital preservation.
