I will say thank you for this review! I agree with every word you said here and was on the fence about returning mine… you helped tho I’m sending it back tomorrow.

I agree with you that GT make a wonderfully fun product

What’s wild is my interceptor CT Gen III has the same play on the button as yours and my OCD cannot stand it… I picked up a Tanto CT Gen III and there is zero play in the button and was 200 less… as much as I love the blade and the “lore” behind it never being released outside custom work I can’t live with it… returning it tomorrow and it pains me to because it looks so amazing but for 675 I should not have button wiggle when my 450 knife is literally perfect and feels more solid(I know the lightning cuts in the interceptor make it lighter but that makes it feel a little less like “money” and for the “money” I’m gonna stick with the Tanto.

Give the Tanto a try in hand it feels amazing.. far superior to that interceptor and fired harder… maybe due to blade mass im not sure

That's good to know, i will have to give a tanto a try.

I really like the look of the gen 3 I have the hellhound version in merlot with the bronze blade I paid 695 like 3 years ago I’m surprised they didn’t raise the prices on them . Thanks for the video

Hopefully they release a version for their service personnel program. Blade is awesome but can't pay ~800$ for it..

Thank you for your service and I'm sure they will, microtech is great at supporting our troops and service personnel.

I actually prefer a MUCH heavier spring in my OTF knives... so much that average thumb strength can't fire it. Makes it child safe.

You and me both man, that's why I love the gen 2 combat troodon and I have an entire drawer of them at this point, it's legit the the only knife I have more then 2 of.

So these Gen 3's once they break in seem to fire just as hard as the older gen. I don't know if it's a mixture of that and to much grease when you first get them? But maybe give it time to break in. I do agree on the price though for the interceptor. For sure charging a bit to much for it

Great review, I love my Guardian Tactical over Mirotech. The older Troodon your right is better. Maybe it is the dual spring action but Kershaw Livewire is dual spring and it is great. I have the new Combat Troddon Gen 3 not the interceptor it not for me also.

I've edc a Heretic manticore X with stonewash recurve for three years. I've wanted to upgrade to a combat troodon. What are your thoughts?

Looks ranger green but probably just the video. Best of luck to you with that, hope not a lot is wrong with it.
@RedwolfEDC6 ай бұрын
Definitely brighter then a ranger green, more of a shiny OD green.

I am consistently disappointed with your reviews - like anyone cares lol - nothing personal but I seem to disagree with every opinion you have lol. I keep coming back though!

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, it doesn't bother me if you don't agree with mine. 😁

I give microtech credit for making good knives, even though they are well overpriced. But the change of blades shape or maybe the color of the handle and call it something entirely new is a joke.

I have to say my gen 3 combat troodon has no button or blade play. Open or closed so maybe you got a bad example. Lame !!
