Unrelated: have you tried the Cold Steel Code 4? It comes in a tanto and packs quite a lot of blade in a compact package. 3.5" folding blade but it's no larger in the pocket than most 3" blades. It's become a regular EDC for me and I bought a second for my daughter.

Tip up tip down why is that a big deal I rock both it doesn’t matter most my knives are tip up

I think some people complain to complain 🤣 Some knives are more awkward to pull out of your pocket and deploy fast just because the way they are designed. But most of the time it doesn't bother me.
