My UTX85 is so much smoother, snappier and has almost NO blade play/wiggle when it locks up compared to my older Ultratech.. honestly just feels like an all around better made knife than the ultratech and has quickly become my favorite EDC and gets lots of utility use without any issues so far at all! I prefer the single edge blades these days now that I've tried one and all of my previous microtechs have been dagger double edge grinds. Selling my extra utx85 olive handle d/e dagger blade like new in box actually if anyone wants it.. got it as part of a big trade and will sell or trade for any reasonable offer!

Perfect EDC knife for Texas viewers now that these are finally legally to carry!! Unclear if there is any issue with double edge/dagger blades so far but I know 100% these are now legal for anyone to carry in Texas!

liked and subscribed! in my state i think the double edge might be a problem, and the double edge is most likely only found (with some exceptions) on otf knives. the 70 and 80 series are light enough and sleek enough for edc. the full size ultratec might be too big for comfortable edc-at least for me.

Trades like this happen all the time in the balisong community on IG. Also the whole it's a butterfly knife so its dangerous has always kinda bothered me. Theres also the whole "balisongs are illegal" stereotype. I understand that in some places they are illegal but in my state it's not directly prohibited in any knife laws yet I'll get comments from people telling me that its illegal even when I'm on my own property and it really grinds my gears when someone goes out of their way to stop what they're doing to tell me on my own property that that knife is illegal (especially since its not) anyway I just picked up a UTX so let's see how quickly people get triggered in my neighborhood over that hahaha

No offense, but who in the FUCK comes to your property just to tell you that your knife is illegal? Are you waving it around screaming? How do they know you even have it? 🤔
@hourglasseyesflipping2 жыл бұрын
@@CarlAquaForce I'm not waving it around screaming for one. I do flip outside on my property but heres the thing. Butterfly knifes arent actually illegal where I live. So I'm perfectly allowed to have it and to flip it on my lawn. But every once and a while someone driving by will feel the need to stop and come onto my property to tell me its illegal.... when it isnt.

Same here, dude I'm in the mountains of Western NC, long story short I was at this casino here in Cherokee & I pulled out my bailout to cut a piece of carpet & someone walking past said something about the knife being to large. I stood up & said no, it's not. I guess you know, knowing about anything, haha.

Not saying it's possible to do the Hollywood balogna but testing it on paper is not adequate. The paper moves and dissipates the energy, a body will not.

How a blade deploys makes no difference. Flippers can deploy almost as fast as an OTF auto. People are scared of almost everything these days, so it's not a surprise that they freak when a blade pops out the front.

@@trillestdccxiii4971 Actually I already bought one exactly like the one in your video! From a distance it looks almost like a German Black Cat. The other automatic I have is a Benchmade AFO II, with the uncoated tanto blade, not an EDC for me. The UTX85 is very handy to carry.
