Microtone scale sounds weird,I can't help laughing about it and your face^_^ I heard it's one kind of morden violin technique but I really don't understand why this kind of technique exists and what does it means Can you talk about something of you feeling? You are so talented! The traditional violin technique are not enough for you I can't image what kind of piece you play after ten years :)

Microtonality is difficult for western ears to understand, because our instruments and scales only have 12 notes. Oriental music uses 22 notes, with many micro tones that the West is not used to, it is actually a limitation.

From wiki,this is a song that Menuhin commissioned Bartok for his excellent violin playing. And it seems to me that Bartok try his best to make this piece almost unplayable to normal player to glory Menuhin's excellent violin tech....Maybe !#@#$!%
