FYI GUYS Just because a dish is "microwave safe" does NOT mean it can handle the extreme temperatures of boiling sugar. This is very dangerous. I recommend looking at "how to cook that" KZbin channel for more info.

Abso-fucking-lutely. Glass, heat & sugar do not mix. I have plenty of scars proving that. Just touching the glass or stirring the sugar can be enough to 'pop' it, sadly. Not a very smart move by this creator to tell her followers/viewers to do something that can very likely cause burns so bad hospitalisation is needed

@jakynaspivey6614 ай бұрын
No, it's the liquids inside the glass. The microwave can super heat liquids and the only thing. Keeping them from exploding is the surface tension. Once that's broken, like putting a spoon in it to stir it. It can explode, it's rare, but it does happen.@@whiepanda77

In Australia, this microwave tanghulu trend went viral. So much so, children have been trying to do it at home, thinking it would be safe. Even under adult supervision, this is still very dangerous. More than a dozen of children and teenagers have been burned by the hot syrup which is over 100° C. Please don’t try this at home unless you are a experienced adult. Stay safe!❤
