Mid Autumn festival at Gardens by the Bay has a nostalgia theme this year. It was a wonderful night out for everyone there. There are many activities in Singapore leading to the Mid Autumn night on September 17. F1 race is from Sep 20 to 22. The Premier Walkabout ticket has ballooned to S$700+ from last year's S$300+. Thanks to supply and demand. I'll probably do a walk on the empty race track before the race days. I'll also wait for last minute drop in ticket price, if there's any 😢 Loved GP racing since I was a teenager.

There are many events happening in Singapore last month and this, and I skipped a few to maintain my quality of life. Otherwise I will be 'overworked'. Haha. This Gardens by the Bay mid autumn festival is always a crowd favourite. It's mine too. The Garden Rhapsody Light show at the Supertree Grove is wonderful but I had to replace the music to avoid copyright issues.

The Mid-Autumn Festival lights at Garden by the Bay unfold like a vibrant tapestry.✨ There are stilt walker performers and waterside monuments, stage shows lit up at night, and colorful lanterns flashing, dancing among the trees. Your video camera captured every moment and every detail as you filmed illuminated recreations of traditional Singaporean shophouses, collecting treasures that can only be found at Gardens by the Bay!☝️💫 Yosh and Iku

In previous years, the themes are usually on Chinese folklore. This year is different. It’s based on nostalgia which the older folks can relate to. It’s like going down memory lane. The Penguin and Dragon playgrounds are iconic in Singapore and were built during the early years of independence. The Korean folks contributed a lantern set. You could see that the lantern structures are different. Hope to see Japanese participation in the future.

I am self employed and am in the video production business. Have been making videos professionally for clients for around 40 years. I am from the Merdeka Generation, now semi retired, therefore have more time to make KZbin videos. I have an older channel, simply called 'CM Chen' (my name) www.youtube.com/@CMChen. That channel has 46k subscribers and has 7 videos with more than 1 million views each. Sadly, that channel is now dormant, a victim of Covid-19. I started 'Singapore City Walks' during Covid-19 as a replacement for 'CM Chen' channel. What's next? 1) To make videos that is of archival quality, so that future generations can watch and see a slice of old Singapore. 2) To work on the many hours of footage that I filmed during the height of Covid-19. Salim, thank you for your support of my channel.
