Dr. Ed, this was definitely your "A"-game. You explained things so that we all can understand (not just the patient), and the patient could feel his improvement in tangible ways towards the end.

The thing is easy to explain: their dad was damaged by "braindead chiropractors" when he learned the craft ... and this made him QUESTION THE USUAL METHODS and resulted in "using the brains" when treating a patient. This is easy to explain with the "the parts that hurt are DOING ALL THE WORK ... because the rest of the spine DOESNT DO ANY WORK ... so the solution is to free the unmoving stuff instead of just cracking the stuff that does move."

Dr Ed, you are so on point with this treatment & care. Not just physical pain, yet a hint of being beaten up when he was younger. That was met with the signature Ed kindness: "It's ok, I've got you" - you care & it was reciprocated. I hope you can continue his treatment like other patients. It's absolutely outstanding care; you are one of a kind that makes people's lives and the ecosystem of care cerebral to witness. You just get it! Beautiful clip & work, kind SIr.

I've sparked an interest in the rehabilitation of the human body and only just recently found this channel. Dr McLaughlin, your explanations are phenomenally worded. Your ability to find metaphors to help simplify your thought processes to your patients are truly inspiring. I would love to come over from NZ and book an appointment 💯💯💯 hell I'd intern for this man at the drop of a hat🙏🏿💜 keep being amazing. Bless

I love how you explained the compensatory injuries. I'm 50 yrs old now and was in a collision when I was 22 that caused my arm to give out a few days later. The ER put a C collar on me that was too big and by the time my first appointment with PT my neck had already started to heal incorrectly. Now at 50 I have issues with my entire neck, upper back and right shoulder / arm. My right hip and lower back are getting worse as well. I wish I could find a provider that does what you do over here in Eastern Washington state. I have to go to a massage therapist, then chiropractor, and it isn't easy to get appts back to back.
