That iis so awesome !! Its great when a family gets to hunt together!! I cherish the moments with my kids, even though now they're older and hunt by themselves. I still get to be a part of it. As for the wife, we fish all the time together!👍

Thank you! Hunting as a family is something that is so important and special to us. We have such great memories with our little kids and Jeff’s older three kids. We agree, even as they age and go hunt on their own it’s still great to be a part of their hunt in some way. As far as fishing, that is something we enjoy so much together! Relaxing, and the fish fry’s aren’t too bad either!

Congrats to her. But the deer are on my camera the days I wasn’t there, and not there when I was. Just luck of the draw. Best advice is to be in stands every chance you get, and hope for the best.

Always remember...the more you hunt your stands, the lower the chance you have of shooting a nice buck. To the point if you hunt them too many times, you literally break that down to a 1% chance, or less. You can always kill more deer by being smart, and spending more time on the couch.

From one hunter to another, congratulations! Deep question: would there ever be a buck that has such desirable genetics that you would make a pact with adjoining landowners to take it off the harvesting list so it passes on those genes as long as possible? Probably not possible if there is public land close by. I have four true trophy hunters around me , all on private land, so we kinda have an unspoken gentleman’s agreement. I may be reaching out from Avon Indiana to get some advice for my small five acre home plot to create a long term food plot with fruit trees and what not in part of my 2 acre meadow. Always find your videos very informative and helpful. Thanks for keeping them short too! 😊

Thanks a lot Greg! We would definitely not do that, for a few reasons. One...whatever genetics are there on the land in the last 50 years are still there. But once a buck is ready for harvest...it's time to harvest them. I think genetic manipulation for the most part should be left behind a fence, and even then it's difficult. Always remember that buck has already spread his seed into a few does, for years already when mature. AND, the doe accounts for 50% of the genetics too!
