The only downside to following your channel for years... No tags left for late muzzleloader !! Not complaining 🦌👍 Thanks for all the great info

Deer are hammering the winter wheat here in northern Indiana in the afternoons. In one particular location, they are bedding about a half mile away. About an hour before dark, they make their way across wide open ground, all the way to the winter wheat

That is awesome!! We are hitting some late season food source action this afternoon...can't wait!! Christmas tree time right now tho 😁 Good luck on that wheat field!

I was fortunate enough to fill both buck tags here in NY already so I’m challenging myself to hunting PA public land in the late season. Thanks for the videos, they help more than you know. And congrats on your public land buck!

Thanks so much and man, there are some real hidden hotspots you can tap into! I would definitely focus on those hidden lower hemlock benches right now with the snowy weather and cold. Good luck and congrats on a great season in NY!

Prime RUT is going on now in Texas….kind of a little late. We are leased on 175 acres (3 hunters) on Paper Company land. The deer we have taken were all on the logging roads where bucks are cruising for doe’s. We do have corn feeders out but they’re really not hitting those hard yet. We are managing our herd and passing on potential big boys for seasons to come. We very much appreciate your insight!!!

That was a cool hunt you had in PA! I really enjoyed that video… thanks for sharing! I’m headed out this afternoon with my daughter to sit over a corn field with the muzzle loader. Fingers crossed we have some action. She sure is excited about going.

Ive noticed here in michigan where i am the deer dont even really care about late season food plots. They have much food in our area . But the clover plots do very well early season.

Brassica plots usually have multiple sets of shed antlers come springtime.

I shot an 8 point here in northern PA yesterday at about 2:30. I knew they’d be up and moving after the nasty wind and cold temps we had for a couple days! I was trying to think like you and it paid off lol

Upstate New York here. I still have my buck tag, but haven’t seen a buck since opening weekend. Im hoping once rifle season closes, and muzzleloader opens, less guys will be in the woods.

Another great vid. So what so you do when u have 3 acres of food plots along with good cover and woody browse. But your neighbor’s have 20 and 40 acre food plots

After you plant fall power 365, do you broadcast anything into it the following year? Or just leave it as a clover plot

Hey Jeff I did some scouting this past weekend I’m in Michigan I was looking for bedding most of the beds I came across were not expected I didn’t find any in the high grounds all the beds were in the swampy area is that common?

Hey Jeff, as I mentioned I’m in southern Illinois. I have about 180 acres, 80 is soybeans that were harvested a couple of weeks ago & the rest is all woods (I’ve pinpointed key bedding areas pretty well)…..I am assuming my primary food source would be those soybean fields? My grandpa left one of the smaller fields up in hopes deer would feed on it (5 acres or so of standing soybeans). Would you be focusing on that food source? Or more on the thick of the woods right about now? Thanks, Aaron
@whitetailhabitatsolutions975119 күн бұрын
Man I love those woods in a transition area between bedding and food! Also those standing beans can be money if adjacent to great cover and habitat.

Starting to get pretty slow here in southern Illinois.
@whitetailhabitatsolutions975119 күн бұрын
Oh I bet! I bet it will pick back up very nicely in a week to 10 days!! Prime 2nd rut action then and it is deadly when it combines with critical food source time.
@Rottenegg4919 күн бұрын
@ I’m sure hoping so! I’ve missed out on a few good sized bucks in hopes they mature in the next couple of years. These videos of yours get me fired up to get out there hahaha.

How do hunters hunt late season in the morning? Or is this a no-go? Thank you for the fine content.
@paulpryor85018 күн бұрын
IDK what this stuff is, but the deer in my area is crushing it. It looks like a little grayish black pea. They're hard, hell, and grow off a vine, sort of like a dried up grape. We shot 3 nice bucks out of the same treestand. My nephew is coming down Tuesday to see if he can get one.

Question for you guys that have more experience than me, there’s an old field grown up with weeds and goldenrod etc that I’ve seen lots of deer droppings, lots of thick shrubby area surrounding the field, do you think deer will come out to the field in evenings and eat the grasses and weeds even when they are dried out and brown or is the sign from last month or two when the weeds were a little green? It’s gun season in Ohio now so everything has seen lot of pressure but I’m just trying to get a doe for some meat. Thanks
@tylerparker302419 күн бұрын
The problem with public land is, its all a possible food plot. Oaks are everywhere and almost every other plant is food for deer. So unless theres some miracle food plot growing on your public land every spot is the same.

Is hinge cutting black locusts worth it? Or should I hack and squirt? Or just fall em completely
@thebadboo487514 күн бұрын
They are on the difficult side to hinge cut. But if you do lay the tops down the deer will hit them hard. One of the best winter browse. I lay a few in the field each year to create habitat structure. The trunks are hell on chain saws but the limbs after drying a couple of years make great fire logs that don't need splitting. Be aware that locusts are an important early pollen source for bees. Like oaks, they seriously compete with each other so thinning them out leaving a few of the growing mature ones is a good practice. The thinner ones used for fence posts or split for rails will last forever.

Central mn....muzzleloader .....seeing many does.....no bucks....field edge of hay field ... should a guy stay thrree or move to other side of prop6 where corn was cut this week? The hay field stsnd produces 5x more bucks earlier in season
