Hello Soleil, I can only imagine how much the garden club enjoyed your tour! Every garden, the planters, and front porch area look so lush, colorful, and beautifully designed. You have such a variety of textures, varying greens, and heights, one’s eye does not get tired of viewing all the plants and excited to see what comes next. Thank you for sharing your gardening talents with all of us! Gail❤️

Just beautiful and love your formal containers and fountain. You probably don't have deer because your hosta is undisturbed. A young buck finally showed up and made a midnight salad dinner of my hostas this summer. -- this is a first. Thank you for this video of your lovely garden. You gave me ideas of adding hydrangeas in the back of the house.

We got a lot of rain last night here in PA. It was much needed! My day lilies are done blooming and fried. Last year I cut them down and they flushed out and bloomed again!

You were talking about the allium being early, I'm in 6B in Holland Michigan and yes the allium are just starting this week to bust out of those little podettes that they form. Your garden reminds me a lot of my own because I have a tall fence all the way around the property and line my beds with river stone like you do. Although I do trip over them occasionally lol.

Oh Soleil, it is so lovely. I must say that the liatris hedge is a showstopper. It's too bad about that boxwood blight is the cause but I think the liatris is a replacement that is an improvement. CHAD helped me order some more sale plants online, including a clematis 'Jackmanii' that I've thought about for only a few decades now...I finally bought an obelisk to grow clematis! Duh! :D

Thanks, Kim! Those clematis are very pretty, I hope you enjoy it for years on the obelisk!! Chad is such a good friend to help you out like that! Lol

My gardens are a mess since I had a knee replacement but I’m hoping to get out there soon and start weeding. The hydrangeas are looking good despite the weeds. It’s supposed to rain and get a bit cooler this coming week. Thanks for the tour of your beautiful gardens.😊

What do you use to repel the deer and rabbits a little bit? Hosta blooms are the favorite snack for them. I love your property! You help me get planting ideas for my yard.

Everything is looking so pretty. I'm also noticing a lot of plants blooming at strange times (or not blooming at all) this year). I'm in Illinois zone 5b/6a and we had a week of really warm weather in February, followed by some freezes, so I think that "confused" the plants in our area. Do you by any chance recall the specific name/type of the gaura plant in your front garden bed?

Thank you. The guara is Belleza dark pink variety. It's taking forever to bloom because of the rabbits!!

Everything is looking fabulous. My hydrangeas are also looking fantastic. I have to prune the Shasta daisies and a few pink tea roses. Freshens up after pruned… oh and the lavender. Trying to dry to make a few sachets. Do you have any footage of your garden tour. That would be great to see. Any pointers on drying or making hydrangea bouquets? Thank you. 🌸🌿☀️🥵

Your garden sounds amazing. It is hot to work out these days! Picking the hydrangeas when they are fresh in the morning if you want a fresh bouquet or waiting until they are fully bloomed and hardened off to dry them. Those bouquets will be beautiful!

Love the repetition of the coneflower in the front yard. It looks great and ties the bed together. What variety of liatris did you plant? I like the height, mine gets very tall
@Suburbanoasis
@Suburbanoasis 5 ай бұрын
Not sure, I got it so long ago. I am guessing the height of it can vary on planting conditions as this year it is a little taller than last year but has been in the same spot for many years.
