Hi Tina! Yea that Kiwi Ink is really fun! I am excited to try out the other one I ordered with the Quezalcoatl- it's called Treasures of Atlantis- has a teal blue background color with magenta sheening.

You are so welcome! I am loving the purple ink in my Lamy 2000. With such a fine nib I always opt for a darker more Saturated ink for that pen. And Matthew's ink are quite wet so it works really well! Have you tried his inks yet? I recommend them. They are right up there with the same viscosity as Pilot Iroshizuku.

I've been trying to stop buying TWSBIs but that Irish green Onyx really looks so good. And I love that shade of green too.🥰 That beagle was hollering. Hand him a fountain pen and some paper and tell him to write his thoughts down. 🤭I've been into Lennon tool bar inks lately. Did you notice how thick and deep that color was when you laid it down. I'm putting that one on the wish list right now!!! Loved the inks, thanks. 💜

What's up with you @Robbourne1950! Oh yes Mr. Archie the Neighborhood Beagle has a lot to say mostly around my house perimeter as we have a ton of rabbits. He's just doing his job so I can't be mad about it but I am sorry that it was so distracting in the video! :) I too really enjoy Lennon Tool Bar inks! They are so beautiful and they perform pretty well too. Yes that ink though- after having used it now for a few days in my Opus88 - Came off that Kakimori nib really nicely- I like it better than it's performing in this medium nib, for sure. It's not laying down much of the shimmer at all and just looks like a flat light blue color.

@@HandmadebyLorelei I noticed that the glitter didn't stick to the glass holder for this ink and the DeAtramentis Heliogen Copper. I have that one and I can't get rid of the sheen.

Awesome ink pairings, Lorelei! I cannot believe LTB actually started making shimmer inks! I thought they would be like Sailor and only make standard inks because those are usually less of a hassle than shimmers. But shimmery inks do make money in this industry…and are bought pretty often…so from a business standpoint I suppose they made that decision! It’s a lovely teal with gold shimmers! Thank you for sharing! 😊

Hey Lao! I guess I never realized that LTB never made any other shimmer inks before now!? that's incredible! I wonder why they finally decided to make that jump!? After using this Opus 88 with the YING PIAO though I have to say I like how it comes off the Kakimori Dip nib much better than how it's coming out of this medium nib.

@@HandmadebyLorelei Indeed, a lot of shimmers are just way too dry - I could tell it was very dry even from your medium nib as you wrote the words down - but that's a quality that's usually required for shimmers to showcase their properties.

Yes! I agree with you 100%. I wish others would Z-O-O-M in too 🔍🧐👍🏻. Holding up to the camera at the end is often too brief and shaky. Thank you for zooming in!!!

Note taken on zooming in! 😝 I try to get in close (don’t want to do tooooo much zooming with editing because you lose some quality) but I’m so all over the place moving around when filming 😅 that I can see myself just wondering out of frame 😅 (I’m with ya though!)

I 100% agree with zooming in!!! You don’t know how many videos I skipped or stopped watching because I couldn’t see a thing. & best believe, I’m not going back to their channel to watch anything. A lot of times they don’t even write small, the camera is just too far away from the page. My eyesight is good. Perfect even. I just did my annual check up & retinal scan & everything was good. So it’s not our eyesight. It’s how the videos are recorded.

how do you like the Kaweco Brass? I am thinking of getting one, but concerned that the section with the ridges might be sharp

HELLO! I REALLY love my Kaweco Brass- it's one I will never sell. It is heavy though so if that's something that you don't like- beware. Honestly there isn't any sharp edges or ridges on mine. it's all very smooth. I don't even notice the threads, although I do hold the section down below that threads so it doesn't affect my grip of the pen at all.
