Caring for someone with Alzheimer's Disease can be very challenging for caregivers. As the disease progresses, different areas of the brain are affected. People in mid to late stages of Alzheimer's may have difficulty expressing their needs in words, may be less able to reason and may be unaware of what is socially appropriate.
