I’m currently reading the Realm of the Elderlings, I’m starting Rainwild Chronicles and hope to finish all 16 books this year! 🤩 But I’m definitely planning on reading more Hobb after that. I also wasn’t impressed by Handmaid’s Tale when I read it... I listened to Anne of Green Gables narrated by Rachel McAddams. It was perfection 🥰 My favorite book this year was The Lions of Al-Rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay. (Kay is also my newest favorite author 🔥) Saludos, Juan! Hope your year improves in the second semester.

Hello, Juan. I'll recommend you "Battle Royale (remastered edition)" by Koushun Takami, the remastered is a better translation. "Shogun" by James Clavell. "The Slap" by Christos Tsiolkas. And "Lonesome Dove" by Larry McMurtry. I was going to recommend The Powder Mage trilogy, but I think the author is one of Brandon Sanderson's students, so maybe not, but there it is anyway.

Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders 🥳 Anne of Green Gables! 💜 The Notebook Trilogy was 👌 So sorry things have been rough - all my best wishes and prayers that things get better. What can I recommend that is well-written and also a good read - The Dublin Murder Squad series by Tana French (though fair warning Book 2 The Likeness is very heavily inspired by The Secret History imo), Poison for Breakfast by Lemony Snicket, Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman. And if you are in the mood for a slightly melancholic classic, The Book of Disquiet by Fernando Pessoa, Penguin Classics edition, translator Richard Zenith. Some charming fantasy standalones: Lud-in-the-Mist by Hope Mirrlees The Forgotten Beasts of Eld by Patricia McKillip The Magician's Daughter by H G Parry It's so nice to hear from you.
