My reading is going great because of Stormlight, I'm giddy with it. I started a booktube channel which is very low quality😂 I just have no time for editing but I've been toying with the idea for like 4 years. Anyways, the fact is, having videos to film keeps me accountable to myself. Only my mother is watching I'm sure but that's ok for now. After I finish Rythm of War, I will read the new book by Peter S. Beagle and then I might do the Farseer trilogy or The Bound and the Broken. I also want to start the Phedre trilogy this year.

Knowing that you love my favorite series makes me so happy, Kim! ❤️ OMG!! YOU HAVE A BOOKTUBE CHANNEl???? This is so great! What's it called? I would LOOOVE to watch it!!! Me and your mom will be watching all of your videos! 💖📚

@@libraryunbounded oh my, you are so sweet! The channel is still very rough but here it is: A Book Forest. I aim to improve pretty much everything little by little. I have toddlers and a full-time job so the first thing will probably be the background and lighting. I currently film from my husband's office and it looks like the Batcave😁

I feel like my reading has been very fine so far. I've enjoyed quite a lot of what i read, but i don't really have a strong favorite. I wanted to do a video with my 5 favorite and least favorite books so far, but when i started to make those lists, i realised that for neither i could find 5 (or even 2) books that i felt strong enough about to put them on a list like that. A lot of things have just been good, nothing more

Ah, been there, Kaat... Sometimes, the books we pick just don't click, whether because we chance upon a mediocre streak or because the mind is not in the right space. You know, I'd be curious to see a "Most Average Books of the Year" video. Just a list of the most "okay" books ever 😂 I think it would be fun if you did it! ✨

I'm planning to start the Stormlight Archive after finishing the Warbreaker, though I haven't decided yet if it is good or bad that there will be all books of the series available this year 🤣 You've got nice picks - Abercrombie goes on the higher part of my TBR 🙂 The best book is Mr. Mercedes by King for me so far, but I think that is due to the fact that I'm leaving my most anticipated books for summer 🌅 Happy reading!
@libraryunbounded6 ай бұрын
Hahah I think it's a good thing. Once you start it, and if you like book one, you will want to read them all (at least that's how I felt). 📚 Abercrombie definitely deserves your attention - especially the First Law trilogy. It's nothing short of a character driven masterpiece! Oh, what genre would classify Mr. Meercedes as? Some say it's horror, some say it's a thriller/mystery. I am looking for a good mystery and I've heard great things about this one, so I was wondering whether I could go for it. Happy reading to you too, Misa! 💖

@@libraryunbounded Thank you ❤ Yes, I get the same feeling about Sanderson - his work with characters is amazing, just the length of the books makes me a little afraid 😊And it seems it's going to be the same regarding the characters for Abercrombie - thank you for the recommendation btw. ;) Mr. Mercedes - I am unsure of the genres definitions but in my opinion it didn't have enough horror moments to be classified as horror nor mysterious because you read also from the point of view of the villain so there was not enough mystery for me (at least in the first book of the trilogy) and the detective felt sometimes a little behind because he didn't know what we as readers did. That said, the feel of the book was still great and rightly grim, and the anticipation what happens next and whose plans are going to be accomplished was really good. My favorite author of such books is Jeffery Deaver 🥰 Have you read the Bone Collector? (Of course, other King's books are much more mysterious and horror, just not personal favorite)
@libraryunbounded6 ай бұрын
@@aBowStar Don't worry about the book length of the Stormlight Archive. Just take your time and enjoy the journey (journey before destination, as the books say). It will all eventually start making sense ;) Oh, thank you for the explanation! Now I'm a bit more curious about Mr. Mercedes 😊❤ No, I haven't even heard of Jeffery Deaver, but I am just read the synopsis of The Bone Collector and it sounds amazing. I added it to the TBR. Thank you so much! 💖

@@libraryunbounded Glad to hear my explanation wasn't too much 😊 and oh, really? I'm so happy to read that another lovely person is going to give Deaver a try ☺ (I'm very biased because I love his work with characters and facts so much, truly, If I were able to write, I would love to write exactly like him even with all the things I have to -as a reader- sometimes criticize😃❤) If you get to him one day, I will be very curious if you'll also like his style, or it won't be really your cup of tea...

Sanderson will definitely kill a few characters like he did in Mistborn. 🙃 The Powder Mage series is really good. I'm reading the last book "The Autumn Republic". 😊
@libraryunbounded6 ай бұрын
Yup, I suspect that's what he'll do. And it would make sense, such big conflict without some prominent deaths would be unrealistic. 😊 Oh, I saw you were reading The Autumn Republic. I am really happy you are liking the series. I should just get back to it, I am kind of craving it right now 💖
