My daughter loves horseback riding too! I agree with you 100 precent, that its one of the more expensive extracurricular actives. She also loves dance, another pricey hobby, but she was our only girl for 9 years, so we went along with it. I admire your openness on the topic of puberty and reproduction. It seems like such a faux pas subject in homeschool land. I think I'm more like you in the sense that I'm not uncomfortable talking about it with my kids. It's definitely not my favorite topic, but it's important. I'm going to check out some of your book suggestions on the topic.

My daughter tried dance when she was younger. She liked it but decided on horseback riding instead. Out of the two I prefer horseback riding! I too have found the homeschooling community to be quite prudish when it comes to the topic of puberty and sexual reproduction 🤷♀️ I hope you find the book recommendations helpful!

I would be interested to hear in a future update how Structure and Style continues to go and how important you think doing more than one level is or is not. Thanks!

I think it’s possible to just do one level and build upon it every year using IEW for the basic outline for any future writing instruction. I will definitely update as we go along.

@@michellegf Thanks-that is what I was hoping! We recently started 1B and it seems like I could just save the different outline pages and use them to help guide other writing assignments down the road.

Thank you for sharing. I am especially interested in how you are doing language arts. I didn’t realize you were incorporating MCT too! We are still in the learning to read phase in my house but I’m taking notes for the future. I appreciate your channel.

Thanks! My 10yr old really enjoys language arts 📚I try to bring in different resources and make sure I’m providing opportunities for her to be challenged

It’s me again! We just got lightning literature grade 1 for my son. I really think it’s a great fit for him. Any advice?

We only started using LL in grade 3 so I don’t have any experience with the younger years.
