I know the whole "I thought the piss jar was common" story all too well. Only 3 days into playing this game, I managed to roll a great seed where I accidentally made Alchemic Precursor in the Mines _and_ managed to turn it into Midas without realizing I needed meat to do so. I figured that it just required a complicated potion recipe that I made by accident, and had no idea that it was borderline impossible to make without external tools! Because it's obligatory to say this: I died in Level 3 because I was a newbie that didn't know how to kill turrets properly.

@@TheTrenchesYT Powerful explosions are your best bet. Magic Missile is ideal due to it exploding on contact, but things like Dynamite and Glitter Bombs have a short fuse, so you can reasonably space yourself in a way that they can take down a turret. This is only scratching the surface though, the rule of thumb is that it just has to be a high power explosive that you can consistently land. If you don't have any explosives, try using a payload wand. Get a trigger spell, and put a multicast+as many spells as you can fit as possible after the multicast. Try to find a bit of cover, and repeatedly peek out and shoot your wand. It's scuffed, but it's serviceable if you've built your wand right. (Honestly, remembering cover is an important tip in general. When you're up against hoards of Hiisi with guns and shit, sometimes the best thing you can do is hide behind a wall and try to make them trickle in.) Alternatively, if you see a turret, you can try to run the other way. A way to drill through the level helps immensely with this. Luckily, Level 3 is made out of some of the softest materials in the game, so it's fairly easy to make a makeshift drill wand for this level. This is not a permanent solution, though, as turrets are recurring enemies for several levels, one of which is incredibly annoying to dig through. Use it to buy time and maybe try to find some money/wands if you're too weak in level 3, since it only gets harder from there.

When you shift an already shifted material, it gains the properties of the new shift but keeps the form of the old one. So blood makes you drunk, but doesn't turn things into gold. Oil can make you wet, but still catch fire. Toxic sludge can slime you but still dissipate into water.

Literally god run. Only complaint with noita is that 99.9% of runs ends with you dying to toxic sludge or burning to death while your wand just shoots 3 spark bolts per second in the hisi base

If you have literally nothing more powerful than your starting wands after the first level (Mines), move your starting ranged attack spell into your bomb wand. That wand should have very small cast delay and recharge, so you can turn your starting spell into a machine gun. It will have very low mana charge speed, but it should be enough for the small starting spell. It's not a good wand, but it's better than nothing.
