I have an event next week with too many output needs, There are two hanging arrays, two subs, front fill, and outer fills. On some days only part of the seating area will be used, I was wanting to be able to turn off or down the top section of each array without bringing in a lift. I don't care or need the system to be stereo, Is it possible to create Matrix with Top, Bottom Arrays and Subs and the Outer Fills. I'll keep FF separate. Programing on Monday, open to any suggestions.

What is the best way to route your subs with the MR18? I like the Subs on Aux method, but where does the Matrices come in? No Matrix channels....use a group? I'm blanking on this.. Thanks!

lo puedes hacer solo activando un sub grupo ousando una mezcla aux

Hie, is it possible to use Aux 1-8 for monitor mixes as I've run out of mix buses.
@MidasOfficial8 жыл бұрын
+Josiah Maseya Hi, depending on what you're doing you can likely use Matrices and route them to Aux Output 1-6. Matrices can be sourced from MixBuses, Mono Bus, as well as the Main L/R Bus. Hope this helps!

good day, can i ask how to send reverb on monitor mix, bus sends. ty so much
@neutraly6 жыл бұрын
Rene Botones it can be done when u selected the FX Channel and use the bus sends knok or click send on bus control by right part fader

Would like to know how to change the mactrix to Bus sends.
@neutraly6 жыл бұрын
Alvin Mathew as far as I know it cannot be "reverse". Since the concept is group input channel(s) to bus, and Matrix is perform a grouping output from bus / main out.

Sorry if I am asking a really stupid question here, but if your PA has a built in cross over/or and amp that does it do you still need to EQ your matrices
@TheGamesurfer986 жыл бұрын
In that case you don't even need to use matrices, just use your Main Left&Right outputs. Matrices are used to split up your LR mix if you need to.

Can you put matrices on outputs 13, 14. 15 and 16 or do they necessarily need to go on outputs 1-4?
@BjorgenEatinger2 жыл бұрын
You can put them on any output you want to.

If I route my FOX matrces on 13, 14, 15 and 16, what about the default FX routed to them and what is the implications?

Hello, will I have to link my matrices before I can have the stereo field? I've sent the LR feed alright to Matrices 1 & 2 but I wanted the ability to control each side seperately.I've realised I get only mono signals on each side...pls what am I doing wrong?
@blackmanoreo1324 жыл бұрын
MIDAS Would you mind giving your input? I have the same question about this.
@injoysoundpro Жыл бұрын
To get stereo mix then you have to link them together but if you unlinked them they are now mono.

are you going to be realising an app like the ipad app but for apple computers?

how do I route aux out to another m32 in video room
@injoysoundpro Жыл бұрын
From your Aux outputs to the other Midas input. If it's two auxillaries then send them into any two inputs in the other Midas mixer .

is it possible to make it a 5.1 system for post by using the matrix?
@MidasOfficial8 жыл бұрын
+Sebastian Diaz Hi, not really. You can create a stereo MixBus or Subgroup however you won't be able to properly pan in surround.
@sebastiandiaz89898 жыл бұрын
+MIDAS what if I buy something like the Coleman audio 5.1 surround switcher?, will this help?, thanks for the quick response
@MidasOfficial8 жыл бұрын
+Sebastian Diaz Unfortunately you're still in the same situation. The Coleman SR5.1 Switcher allows you to A/B multiple monitors but doesn't pan & sum audio leaving the console.
@sebastiandiaz89898 жыл бұрын
+MIDAS Ok but what if I´m only using it as a control surface just for mixing in post?, thanks again, it is just that I find this console amazing and I think it has to be a way to mix in 5.1

Hey how you routed master bus into matrix
@MidasOfficial5 жыл бұрын
The fastest way to route your master bus into the matrix is to select your masterbus. Use the arrows (right bottom corner from the screen) and use the potmeters (below the screen) to send to your matrix buses. Another option is to select your master bus. Press the view button on the bus sends area and use the encoders above to assign to the desired matrix

Everything above 100Hz is going to the tops. Isn't that what you said? Is it 80Hz or 100Hz?
@MidasOfficial5 жыл бұрын
Hi Heather, you are correct, the video has a mistake made between 100hz and 80hz. In the example everything above 100hz is going to the tops. Everything below 100hz is going to the sub. But this can be 80hz or even up to 120 hz. Depending on the type of speakers and application.
@heatherfennell92735 жыл бұрын
@@MidasOfficial Awesome! Thanks for the info!
@roosoomak8 жыл бұрын
Why do you set the filters to 80/100Hz and not to 100/100 (or 80/80)?
@radulica6 жыл бұрын
Probably a mistake. When he explains it he says "anything over 80hz isnt going to my subs, and anything under 80hz isn't going to my tops"
@Musickfreakbrown6 жыл бұрын
I’m thinking that’s the frequency range for those speakers
@Ecmusicproductionschannel6 жыл бұрын
Although in this video it the frequency range seems to be chosen randomly, it is normal to not match you cut off frequencies (100/100). This is because low and hi cut filters slope off. The overlapping part of the frequency domain should cross at the -6dB point, so that when both elements are playing simultaneously, the addition of both elements ends up at 0 dB ( [-6dB]+[-6dB] )
@alexandrosmusica2 жыл бұрын
@@Ecmusicproductionschannel what if the slope is steep 48dB/oct, like the slopes on the fabfilter eq, but yeah for midas m32 you are right.
@Ecmusicproductionschannel2 жыл бұрын
@@alexandrosmusica then the frequencies could lay closer to one another. If I’m not mistaken the higher order filter do cause a bigger bump at the corner frequency and that makes getting a flatter crossover point harder. You could even think of combinations of different filter slopes to optimize the crossover.
