Great video. I did Far Black Clough - Barrow Stones - Grinah Stones - Bleaklow Stones - Near Black Clough at the weekend. Hadn't realised you could go up to that waterfall. I'm fortunate to live in Glossop so can get out on these hills on a regular basis

Well done young man for inspiring others to get out and enjoy the beautiful countryside we have in the UK..my good lady and have just completed the middle black clough scramble and we by no means youngsters 😅 (I'm 60+ and the Mrs is trying to catch me up) Well it was well worth it the view are spectacular and the fall maybe not as full as when you were there but we've just had three day of steady rain which made the trek well worth it...again thanks for inspiring others...respect SS..

Absolutely brilliant Alex! Like you I love the Peak District. I am in my 70s but still get out there when I can. I look forward to all your videos for inspiration and just to see the beautiful and sometimes challenging hikes you do.

Living down south although we get beautiful landscapes, they're not like this... I love watching your videos to get a fix of more mountainous and 'wild' regions. Thank you for taking me to the Peak District in spirit!

Just wanted to say keep up this great content Alex. I found your channel last week and it really encouraged me to get back outside after a bleak winter! I ended up doing a 16 mile solo walk and can't wait to get back out, so thank you!

What a fantastic hike Alex, loved the walk into the falls and wow aren't they in full force! It was very loud 😍👍❤ We have been caught out once or twice by high waters, and slippery rocks, good advise and thanks for the warning ⚠️ You captured some great footage on the walk back too, what a stunning loop! You really showcase the Peak District, you love of this area is second to none. We will visit one day, anything but bleak when you are out and about 👍 Another fab video Alex, thanks for taking us along, have a great evening, Ceri and Kat ☕ ❤ 🗺 🧭

Thank you so much guys!! It’s a true hidden gem of the Peak District and yes I got very lucky with how powerful the waterfall was flowing!! Yes wanted to make it clear that it wasn’t the safest of journeys up to it! That’s so nice of you to say guys! Hopefully I can give you a tour of the Peaks one day! Really appreciate your support and kind words and I hope you both have a fantastic week! ☕️❤️🙌👍😁

What a fab route Alex. I did that same walk myself last year but I didn’t actually make it to the waterfall as I wasn’t as brave as you when it came to crossing the river! I really must do it again as it looks amazing. Showcased the waterfall fantastically well in this one
@alexcripps.outdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Anthony! Yes it was a bit touch and go with the crossings but managed to find a few relatively safe spots to cross but it certainly got the heart racing a little!😅 Definitely worth it in the end though! Thank you Anthony hope you have a great week 👍😁

Another fab video Alex 😊 can't beat a good waterfall! Definitely need to do this walk and add on the B-29 crash site as you recommended. I love the calming music, goes so well with the scenery, can't wait to get back up to the Peaks 😁

Thank you so much Jess!! Yes it would be great to add a loop on to the crash site, especially when the weather is nicer! Thank you for the kind words Jess 😁

Love that route and especially as it isn’t well trodden. I would love to go up that Clough and climb the waterfall when it’s drier in the summer. Bleaklow I can take or leave because it’s pretty featureless but Torside Clough offers some absolutely cracking views 👍👍 The area up there near Crowden is one of the wildest in the Peaks and it’s a great place to explore. Great video and great choice of music again. Great to see how much to you enjoyed this one Alex! Going to have to do this one!
@alexcripps.outdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Greg!! You’d have loved the scramble up to the waterfall, great little route up to it! Yes Bleaklow is slightly featureless but like you say is surrounded by some stunning spots! Crowden Clough is on the list for the summer! Thanks Greg, always appreciate your kind words and support! 👍😁

Mate brilliant video! Looked like a pretty epic walk to that waterfall even if it was a bit of a 'fun' route lol, think you definitely picked a good time to go after all the rain too! Ive had to point a few people in the right direction on Bleaklow myself before. Glad you had an awesome adventure looked likena great day 😃👍🏻 ATB mate.... Chris
@alexcripps.outdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much Chris! It’s an awesome walk up to it mate, despite the sketchy river crossings 😁 Yes it’s a pretty scary place if you don’t have a map or gps and the clag roles in, extremely featureless! Thanks as always Chris, hope you have a great week mate 👍😁

Just found your channel when looking for this walk. Great channel. We spend a lot of time in the Peaks, one of us is from New Mills originally. We hike a lot in the Lakes too and film what we get up to. We also do a little wild swimming when we get a chance. Just subscribed to you. Have a look at what we get up to if you get a chance. Looking forward to watching where you get to.

Thank you so much! Great question, I’ve had a few people ask this now and my plan when I have a free afternoon is to go back through all of my videos and attach a gpx file of each route on an OS map in the description 😁 I’ll let everyone know when I’ve done this. Hope that helps 😊

Hi Alex is it deep enough to have a dip at the waterfall? Thanks
@mocev11 ай бұрын
Not really deep enough for a dip. There’s a local club who all turn up in their wetsuits and skid down the river on their backsides. Not sure what “sport” that’s called, but they all seem to enjoy it!
