When the song for Gandalf's fall plays, it makes me think Gandalf knows deep down he will not make it out of Moria with the rest of the Fellowship. It's as if he's pondering his own fate and his eventual battle against the Balrog. And I get to be there with him thanks to you! Awesome video!

Gandalf always had hope even in the darkest situations, so even if he knew something deeply evil lived in Moria (and probably didn't know it was a Balrog) he still was hoping they would get through together. That being said when he was called upon to stand against the Balrog he didn't hesitate (and did it a few times in the book on the run from the kings tomb) so whatever doubt he had didn't sap his will.
