Thank you everyone that has watched this video. Like, dislike, comment I appreciate you for your input. I made this video three years ago (2017) when the game came out the first week because, well you see the gameplay. Spent the entire day recruiting them just to be stabbed in the back. I was underleved and one mission away from going to bed (I think I spent more than 10 hours that day) as much as I was mad and trust me when I tell you I was mad spending so much time recruiting those orcs to join me just so they did what they did. This game thrives on random stuff and players making connections for a story. One of my favourite orcs was a very dumb one that got promoted because he got lucky and the captain that killed me died before he could end me. He then proceeded to kill me 4 times, and every time it was because of dumb good luck on his part. It was so satisfying when he finally ran out of luck

I had the same issue with the combat, I started forcing myself to use the terrain/traps as much as possible to change every encounter, plus going back and forth between stealth, creating mini armies, and just running in on my graug or caragor

Man, I started playing again and got these recommended clips, I had a recent blood brother revenge betrayal and when I had him on his knees about to die he said to me “I should have known better than to go against you. Like, 90% trophies done for core game, all quests completed etc. Now all I can really do is online conquests, vendettas, and free roam stuff. But it’s still so much fun. And I’ve still got the two DLCs to play through yet !! Had the game for a couple years now, keep going back to it every month or so and working on my fortresses more and more each time haha. What an incredible game, to retain fun for years and years provided little breaks in between

For wrathgiver find an orc preferably who wields dual swords or a sword since they have a higher chance of dropping swords and send them a death threat. Make sure the orc doesn't wield any elemental weapons and make sure none of your attacks do elemental damage. Also the orc can't be epic or legendary and he isn't immune to executions or is engaged by anything like executions. Go to the mission and activate elven rage, spam executions try and get 3 in and finish him off with executions or ground executions (make sure to have fury off) or shadow strike kill him, you can use elven light to daze him and knock him onto his feet. Try and do this all in elven rage for the best chances, I got mine in 2 trys and got an olag to break it so it can be level 90

Funny story: I was in the middle of the post game shadow war in the icy region(forgot it’s name) and on of my War Chiefs got glitched into the wall and I couldn’t get him out. I lost the fort. Fast forward to me clearing out an outpost and the came back betraying me and I got sad. I was able to recruit him again and I assigned him as my bodyguard. Fast forward to me and the boys taking our fort back, and I’m fighting the overlord. I’m fighting for my life as the dude is adapting and just kicking my ass and he’s gotten rid off my last chances. While I’m about to get killed, the boi came to me and killed the bastard. “You may have forsaken me, but I have not forsaken you” he said to me. I made him my Overlord after that.

So the real hero for this tale was a young orc name pash who after being betrayed and almost murdered by another orc captain was saved by the gravewalker who immediately was betrayed by 4 more orc captains. The young Pash new without a doubt now was the time to repay that life debt and he lept into action providing all the support he could. his actions allowed him to take down 3 orc captains and save the gravewalkers life. Some say Pash became a warchief others say an overlord but one thing for certain is the gravewalker knew Pash was a loyal orc

I agree. He got it, only to end up dying soon after though. But the Nemesis system doesn’t just have negative effects to make the game harder for you. It also has some effects that benefit you. Such as one of your Orcs deciding to show up with a gift for you or an Orc cheating death just keep serving you. I’m not kidding. I’ve actually had both of those things happen to me in one playthrough. I’ve also encountered a rather friendly Orc that just wouldn’t fucking stay dead. Seriously, I killed him like 4 or 5 times and he just kept coming back. Even after I killed him during a story mission. I wanted to recruit him because I liked his friendly nature, but I unfortunately had to make him lose his sanity so I could do that.

This is actually likely to happen all at once because orcs are more likely to betray you when you're already fighting multiple enemies captain (strength in numbers and all that.) But there is logic to their loyalty, if you demote them or never help them in their missions (especially if its mission you sent them on) they get pissed at you while they become loyal if you help them, save them while they bleed out, promote them or fight and kill captains with them. So on the bright side, that one follower who fought with you is probably super loyal now. Also, shaming traitors when they betray you seems to make every other orc in the region a bit more loyal. Since I have been made aware of all that, no orcs betrayed me in the past 20 hours I have been playing (well one blood-brother did but that doesn't count, should have read his stats before killing his bro). Also I heard that orcs from the terror tribe and assassins class are more likely to betray you in the first place. Apparently, a terror assassin is almost an instant betrayal.

The nemesis system is so cool. One of my favorite gaming stories comes from the first one. There was this one orc captain that I just didn’t take seriously when I tried killing them so I kept dying in some dumb ways. It eventually got to the point where he was beating me even though I was trying. It took like 10 encounters to finally kill him. Then like 3 hours later he comes back from the dead to fight me one more time. Literally one of the best twist reveals I’ve ever experienced in a video game lmao

I hate games like this where you get control of armies and of course, your army can't do anything without you, so you ahve to run around spending all your time helping everyone with their missions othewise they will betray or die. Hell, even games like Dynasty Warriors Empires where you can invest gold into better weapons for your entire army, training, for your entire army, siege weapons and tigers n shit, for your entire army. And they'll still fucking die if you aren't there to hold their hand. Even on easy difficulty. Whats with games that give you AI soldiers to fight for you that die immediately and arent worth anythign. I will say tho, this game, at least your controlled orcs sometimes put in good work. not always, but the AI in this game is more competent than any other game i've played.

The fact that he's the last true betrayer, too (as Ogg was avenging his blood-brother) makes it that much better. It's as though the gutless guy was aware of this huge conspiracy among the Uruk ranks to betray Talion but didn't have the balls to join in officially out of fear of the Gravewalker, so he went to watch the confrontation (after all, by playing both sides he could join the winning side at the end of the fight), then when he saw how big the conspiracy turnout was he got cocky and joined in too, resulting in his death. That's not how the game mechanics work or anything but that's how I kinda saw it.

Had a similar thing happen to me: Was walking through Seregost, having just teleported there from the entrance. Was checking on my fort, making sure all the upgrades were in place and my fort was at peak fighting condition. 4 of my strongest Captains decided to gang up and betray me, all at the same time...while I'm still in my fort. Needless to say, upon realizing the treason taking place, one Uruk managed to get the alarm off. The rest of my non-traitorous followers were quick to swarm in and beat the piss out of the turncoats. However, I made sure to give each and every one of them a very painful, very brutal death, in front of all assembled, to ensure that such attempts would never be made again. In Seregost, I've never had a betrayal happen after that incident, so I'm fairly certain word got around that even gang-betrayals had about as much chance of success as a Hobbit had at destroying the Dark Lord himself: possible, but requiring a fortress-load of BS to succeed. Only downside was that they managed to kill two additional Captains in the struggle, bringing my grand total of lost Captains to 6. I was properly livid, and proceeded to take my frustrations out on a wild Graug that was rampaging through a nearby cavern system. Suffice it to say, Graugs do not go near that cavern anymore. Good times.

I just recruit betrayers again to show them all you cannot leave my army when you join you cant leave and if you don't join you die only 2 have ever betrayed me and I have alot of captains in 2 regions I captured almost all of them and only 1 betrayed me for no reason other was when I accidentally killed his bloodbrother by accident i wanted to recruit him
