Big thanks to Monolith for the early access! Been playing this new update for a few days now, and I hope all of you get to enjoy it as much as I have when it arrives tomorrow! There's some stuff in the update that won't be in the patch notes and I didn't talk about here. Who knows... Maybe you'll meet some new people while playing... What's your opinion on the new changes? Are you planning to restart the whole game, or did you stop at Act IV beforehand to only play the new Shadow Wars?

Hey Uruks Hollow I have a problem: I got myself a nemesis in the forge and then played SoW and after finishing the game I wanted a new nemesis so I deleated both games in the normal menu and started a new game and replayed SoM. After that I started a new SoW game but in the Arena Mission was still my old nemesis. To get a new nemesis to I have to deleate the whole game so I lose everything (like the garrison or boosts) or can I restart the game in the normal game task bar?

Uruk's Hollow I just hope that we'll get next game and management will leave devs to make a new game without too much interference this time. Unlikely, but I still want to hope. The problem is that our new main character(unless we get Baranor back too) is a bit underwhelming and storyline has gone just over the top. However it would still be fun to see a game happening during Ellesar's reign, when elves are leaving, dwarves and humans are rebuilding, orcs just attempt to build their own society without any master and so on. They can make a lot of guest appearances from books without having trouble with storyline and even open up some renown location to the player. Though some variety might be required further on.

Francois Latulippe i think it's removed because they said that the chances to cheat death are the same like they are at the beginning of the game. But i think that there never was a limit but i don't know!

Deine Mama well you are right. There was never a limit of death cheat that could happen in game but the number that was "forced" if the orc had a sufficient nemesis score, was around 10. After that, you needed to rely on pure luck for interesting orcs to cheat death.

The supposed limit was a thing in SoM only. SoW doesn't seem to have it, but the chances to cheat death after a while diminished too much so it felt like you had hit a cap. With the new increased chance to cheat death, this Nemesis System feature will feel constant throughout an entire playthrough.

There'll probably be some balance like not being able to do it twice in the same fight, and I'm guessing after that they'll either stay dead or they can cheat death like normal captains.

dcfencer If you did the endgame without buying orcs (The orcs you could buy for in-game money was more then good enough, but some obviously wanted to use "their orcs" instead of bought orcs) then the pits was a way to level them.

Eh. Technically the Indefinite Shadow Wars could be seen as the rest of it. I say this knowing I would have preferred a longer Shadow Wars. Say 6 stages for each of the pieces we earn. That would have been better I think. #ISurvivedOldShadowWars

Espadas I totally agree but they already ruined that lore when they released the blade of Galadriel dlc in which she takes a couple forts in “ the same decades “ that he fights the forces of mordor. Like I beat the dlc in an hour but the og shadow wars took me three days witch for all its faults felt like it could be decades in game. Sigh oh well

Keep in mind that it was most likely wb games idea not monoliths. You have to appease the publisher if you want to have a game published. Witch includes adding any features they want.

I won't lie, I was also hoping it was something different. Skin still looks awesome, though. Back when BoG came out, I shared a pic of Cursed Eltariel and expressed my desire of it being a permanent skin. However, I did see a lot of people jumping into a hate bandwagon and calling Monolith "lazy". I thought that was a bit over-the-top reaction from some fans. We should appreciate the work the devs are putting into this free update, and criticize in a civilized manner.

Minas Morgul certain could use an overhaul, I think. Region is quite lacking in certain aspects compared to the others. Sadly, I don't think it's going to change at all, since the devs said there won't be any more content updates.

I didn't buy Shadow of War off release due to the loot crates, not because of them in general, but because it upset the nemesis system in my eyes. The Tark Lord each player has their playstyle so you cant just say "nah". Whats good for his style may be bad for someone elses. Besides if i had a penny for everytime a captain or warchief that wasnt immune to curse and how useless it was if it wasnt a mortal weakness id be rich. In other words its only cool for CC on grunts. But if your playstyle is [grunt-hate] then its good. If youre a captain/chief killer Undying is better.

For some reason Orcs in my world(especially the ones I have interactions with)don’t seem to cheat death even hours after killing them,they rarely ever comeback and tbh it’s worrying me because they clearly said that orcs now would cheat death at the same rate in the first act,which was one of the main reasons why I was hyped for this update but now I’m kinda let down.I don’t know if it’s just me because I hope that’s not the case.

Gamin' Reasons, won’t lie that was my exact same thinking when fighting an overlord, but the base nazgul masks makes dashing not a focus chugger, id definitely say suladins and the sister are the weakest.

Tyler Ellis Empress looks like it would be great if you used it alongside the Mystic weapons since each Wraith gets progressively more powerful. The general would be good alongside Terror gear.

Currently I'm on stage 10 of Shadow Wars. I've done basically everything except complete the whole collection of Legendary Gear. I did fully level up all of the unique legendary gear. (Bright Lord, Vendetta, and Ringwraith) I have 7 skill points left over after unlocking everything so it'll be nice to have that circle gone. Very excited for basically everything in the update especially the new gear.

What will happen to any orks with more than two epic traits? I just did that to my overlord and necromancer, and I’m rather proud of my master works. Thee epic traits for the win!

DJ Pöppit i6 was an old glitch regarding legendarys and class epic traits. Take an leg orc that does not have a class epic ( epic rage, bombs, Graig call, ect...) and give him that order, than that and the other trait should be permanent. BUT if you gave him a new epic training order of any kind, that would be applied Without overriding an existing one. I have a pal who even has !4! Epic traits on some of his guys. Sadly, that fun bit has been expunged. In any case, existing super orcs have been spared, so go online and hunt the ones you can, before they slowly die out.

I'm actually annoyed they reduced the size of the shadow wars. Its good there is a story element but the war felt long and tedious and fit the narrative

Well, I think there is a handful of new dialogue fron shelob before efenses, so during endless siege, I'm pretty sure the dialogue is randomly chosen from the new quotes from her. Not 100% sure though.

Those masks are awesome! I also look forward to use the celebrimbor skin on my bright lord profile, its abit more limited then a dark talion build by not advancing the story..so no prestige skills, but you get to keep elven rage and the dialogue between Talion and CB. Always back-up your saves!

There is one gameplay aspect of the regular Eltariel skin, from my understanding the enchanted orc from the DLC will not betray you if you have the Eltariel skin on.

Hell yes! The new legendary spawn rate is immediately noticeable, and also every defense has at least one guaranteed Legendary, but there can be more! One of the sieges I had during the early access had three.

I don't know about the rest of you but I haven't stopped playing. I have over 300 hours into this game and have done 12 full playthroughs just trying to get new orcs. this update is huge for me and is going to be a lot of fun
